Getting ugly, lol

These are the remnants of a once powerful club that has been going supernova for the past 10 years.

Or since the hird/watson drugs saga.

That club still has not healed,
You have so many power players all sticky their bibbs into clubs business ever since.
... former list manager... sheedy... hird, and all off field coterie 'players'. etc, et al.

The fish rots from the head end first, and the arse end last.

I’m on board with Flanders if it locks us into talks with GC where we can bundle in there 2025 first rounders they need to offload also.

Geelong style trade with GC. We take Flanders contract + there 2025 first pick for our future 2nd. (Realistically it won’t be this but if we negotiate right we can try bundle what they want to offload strategically in).

Pick 6 and Flanders for pick 23 and our F1?

Flanders is a good player and perfect fit age wise.

I seem to remember rumours that Jason Taylor rated him quite high in his draft year, not sure what would happened if he was there at pick 12 - glad we have Koz!

It doesn't have to be bad.... future picks are a thing GS.
Yeah, I know Sugar but unfortunately future heavily compromised drafts is a thing too with Tassie, father sons, bunch more academy players.

Top 3-5 picks will be an absolute premium and being 1-2 picks lower can easily end up being pick in the teens by the time you actually get to use it.

Steak knives in Trac trade hopefully.

8, Worpel pick, Butler for Trac
Flanders and 6 for F1 and 23

In: 6,8,20, Flanders, Butler
Out: Trac, F1, 23
I think you would enjoy playing the 2KNBA series....

I used to love playing dynasty mode - turn on the ability to override any trade offer that was rejected and you could just push it through. No matter how ridiculous or fanciful.

Hopefully this Adelaide smashing makes them come running for a Petty or a Sparrow, or an Oliver. Get into there ear ANB
Oliver would actually be a perfect fit for them. They got absolutely smashed at the coal face and need an extractor.

HIs contract is a problem. Contested mids are the easiest kind to get so it's not a rarity which is a problem.

ANB might get in their ear but would it be to stay away instead?

Tassie won't go so U-18's heavy as GWS and the GCS did.
And as we did in our raid on the draft, back 10+ years ago. Tassie will have more stipulations on picks And how they use the picks.
They will have to trade out some early picks for mature players.

That drug scandal really f*d that club up didn't it! They have been absolute garbage ever since. It's bloody great to watch. Bombers were as big as Collingwood back in the 80s and 90s. Huge club. It's like when Sheedy got the boot it all went to s* for them. Maybe it's their Norm Smith curse?
Not so much the scandal... as the idea of injecting they're players in secretive clinics, trying to get one over the competition...
The thought of using supplements, the players as their property... and as guinea pigs. that whole idea was so selfish, it just plainly smacks of Arrogance... and a total lack of care for their players.
......................................

This is total hubris and borders on criminal incompetence of those who were in top positions in the club.

And those same movers and shakers had no time or respect for the structures and coaches they had employed in good faith.

The only player i want from GCS is Ben King.

I would not be trading away our future picks right now as we enter the twilight zone on our major leaders.
We will need those future picks more than any time in our past, as all our best are within 2Yrs of retirement.

Half of the top 10 in the Bluey were 25 and under. Don't think there's a panic for draft picks.

Like i said, the scandal lol

Its the decisions by officials and their Hubris, that has torn the clubs fabric apart.
And they still carry on today.

they are still eating their own, and the undermining of coaches still not accepted by these types of coteries and former players, coaches, etc... meddling and undermining outsider coaches ... its just cannibalism, eating one another.

The players we would be drafting in, would be for the layer below our under 25's.
Some of our U-25's will plateau.
Some may not make it at all.

We have to continue to have influx of young talent, or we quickly slip behind other clubs, as theY find some gems each year.

Sure, but there's no need to be going all-in on the draft in the next few years in the context of our list. Our current issue is 24-28 year olds, not under 20s.

yes and no.

I wanted us to get after Silvagni and Draper... to help cover off our lack of real tall forwards and mobile follower rucks, and for cover for tallish defenders who are good one on one.
Covering over for both TMc and for a pure interceptor Lever.

Leaving us to go to the draft for more mids and running players... plus to dabble for special skilled types.
