Is it? Why two years?
Agree, but we don’t have trade targets and / or capital to find A grade small forward options this year.Ffs... When will they learn that Motlop, Fogarty, Durdin etc are not up to it???

Club retains some trading leverage with oppo clubs by having him contracted if at the end of next year there’s a desire from either party to move.Is it? Why two years?
I really don't get this Motlop pile on. He is only 21 (turning 22 soon) and has passed the 60 game mark now, why hand him over to another club for peanuts after we put the development time in. With a good preseason and a new forward structure I can see him having a decent 2026 and taking a step up in his development.

Im of the same opinion here... Id be shocked if GC now dont throw the kitchen sink at Charlie. Their window is fully openHardwick would have to have Curnow on his mind today.
He brought Tom Lynch into the Tigers to partner Riewoldt with great success.
Curnow and King would be a formidable combination with Read the third banana and chopout ruck.
Walter is the obvious centrepiece coming back to Carlton but what else will they have to add ?
Draft pick/s either way usually round out the deals but could there be other players involved here.
Rosas is out of contract and Rogers has one year to run.
They are all GC academy boys so it might be easier for them if one of the smalls joined Walter as a travelling mate.
GC (and the AFL) would be desperate for the club to go to another level next season.
Hardwick might just know the recipe …
Bit over the we’ve been shit for 30 years narrative
Have we performed to expectations- no
But have we bit shit this whole time- also no
Blah blah blahJudging by that comment I think our mediocrity has crept into our supporter base. Since 2001 weve been bottom 4 for performance. No flags, no grand finals, no top regular season finishes, 1 preliminary final. 5 wooden spoons. Since the retirement of Sticks, SOS and Braddles we’ve had successive playing groups content with occasionally winning, but outside of a few individuals, not nearly dedicated enough to succeed. It beggars belief that there are still rumours of lack of professionalism/poor standards among our playing group.
The club has also been a basket case in terms of how it has been run. We ignored the salary cap and the draft, as well as high performance, injury management, talent identification and development. Weve sacked coaches regularly. Hopefully the successive appointments of successful football operators like Cook and Wright might be the beginning of us turning into a properly run club like Collingwood, Geelong, Hawthorn, Brisbane, Sydney etc. That said, given how far behind we’ve been I’m not sure we are going to see the result for another 2-3 years.
Blah blah blah
Me too!Fine be like that. I’m just so sick and tired of watching finals series without Carlton participating.
Dude, ****ing manners…Blah blah blah
Since the club would be disappointed with pick 1 for Charlie on his own, throwing two first rounders into the deal could make this the worst proposed trade in BF history.Who would say no?
Swans get: Curnow, Silvagni Compo
Eagles get: Warner, De Koning Compo
Blues get: Pick 1
Means we would clear our compo picks that would get eaten by a Dean bid.
They're rumoured to be keen on Elliott for a 2 or 3 year deal.Im of the same opinion here... Id be shocked if GC now dont throw the kitchen sink at Charlie.
Well ... haven't we set the bar low at Carlton eh.. It's a brave punter that picks Carlton to make finals in 2026, 2027Mots is no world beater but he's still our best small forward as things stand
Unfortunately so, CC has zero runs on the board in finals and may add to the disappearing acts up forward in September. They're rumoured to be keen on Elliott for a 2 or 3 year deal.
Might be better value than Charlie until their super star juniors mature.
Charlie was dreadful in last years finals campaign, as were the Crows 3 headed monsters this year.

I've been wondering about the absolutely over the top goal celebrations that modern players display.Mots for the goal celebrations. Keep!
