You're entering Schrodinger's stat sheet territory mate. 😂
Not really. The way I see it, I'm sure we conceded more ground balls inside d50 than both Cola and Brave.

There's also the fact that the net benefit of the kicking/running power of those two is significantly higher than that of Herr Midget.

I do not feel confident when Daniel is left to navigate a defensive situation in our d50. I'm sure many others feel the same. His 1.9 tackles do not make me feel any better. Do they make you feel any better?

You're entitled to feel that way, but it doesn't mean spending 3.5m a year on TDK, Aleer, Flanders and Silvagni would be a particularly smart piece of list management.

That's fair enough, but the only alternative I gave to recruiting those lads, based on our off season moves thus far, was no one

Harry Lemmey from Carlton delisted, A key forward who played some nice games in the second half of the year, West Adelaide boy who to me was a strange delisting, thought he was taking over from Charlie Curnow, still don't think he's developed fully as tall players do take time, quite interesting that the Blues pulled the plug, list spots becoming very valuable at the moment.
Fair to say he was pretty blindsided by being released. Next to zero feedback from crazy Vossy through the season, then given the pink slip. They are hoping he gets picked up by Crows or Port for obvious reasons, but open to staying in Vic. The kid can play.

De Koning, Silvagni, Flanders, paying NWM $2m a year.

It’s a bold strategy cotton.
It's not their first time. At the end of 2000 they went on the "ride of their life" and by mid 2004 the only players left were Gehrig, Callaghan and Aaron Hamill who spent more time out than in.

From the Port board:

Found a player here. Finally over injuries and looks a proper footballer. Pace, smarts, skills and a bit of campaigner,
He crumbs / swoops on the ball from contested hands at pace like Butters. He’s arguably the second best handler of the footy, second best handballer and second best field kicker behind Butters. Tough little bugger too.
Jackson with a goal to go with his 21 disposals vs Glenelg.
