Review Semi Final, 2025 - Brisbane Lions vs. Gold Coast

The Cats, Demons and North Melbourne were all great at cutting off our kick and run through the middle of the ground.
We just beat the 2 lower teams but got spanked by the Cats.

My seats for the Suns game were behind the goal posts but just to the right.
A good view of passages of play trying to go through the middle and teams trying to block that avenue.
The Suns were quite good at doing that for the majority of the game.
Our game plan looked to have changed. We did a lot of switching and then switching back.
This had the Suns players covering a lot of ground trying to defend and also cover the middle.
That type of defense from the Suns gets tiring as the game progresses. I think this is one reason we won.
You have to remember the Suns played 3 games in 10 days one at AO then had the week off like the rest.
Then the biggest travel in the AFL over and back from Perth in a do or die very close and emotional game.
I think the Suns just ran out of petrol after half time

I think our game style for the Pies next week will be a bit of a mixture.
Going wide at times switching when needed and through the middle also when that option opens up.

I didn't write us off. I said during the preview that you have no idea which lions team would turn up, but if our best turns up, we are better than anyone else. I was basically quoting zorks (who basically said the same thing a few weeks ago). I've been pretty chilled about it the past few weeks, but i'll admit i was more worried earlier in the year.

whammo! up they pop with their magical bits of play that is the icing on the cake for the brilliance that makes this team

My daughter works in osteo/physiotherapy sector works on knees all the time, a partial tear also I known as a Grade 2 acl tear isn't as bad as full reco. 6 months maybe 7 if recovery doesn't go aswell as intended.. let's hope all goes well.

Ortho Bullets says consensus is not sooner than 9 months following reconstruction; and until we get an update from the club I’d trust ortho bullets over “someone that works in the sector” (unless she’s an orthopaedic surgeon).

From the research I’ve done and my limited ortho experience, the limiting factor here is the surgery, not the injury itself. It’s a reconstruction, so the initial tear is irrelevant because the ligament is no longer there. They don’t do repairs anymore routinely as they’re much higher risk (especially in athletes).

The Gabba is a great stadium to watch footy. At the members ground (MCG) you are generally too far away
