Gimmie dat Fire Emblem, suprised we didn’t see more Switch 2 enhanced Switch 1 games

Dunno if sold on it yet TBH, odd choice to go prequel? to 3Houses. Though I suppose adult Sothis is hmm for sequel.

I dunno I guess I just wanted something more different/mature than a 3 Houses retro, they have echoes they did nothing with essentially so bit disappointing at present with that reveal.

Watched more of the Direct. Not much new stuff interested me.

Re-selling Galaxy making All Stars Obsolete. Doing Wonder again with a small bit of content.

Tonne of stuff that's already been released, announced, or on other systems for years.

DKB DLC Obviously was ready to go when the game launched The gem thing seems rogue like so a bit of replayability there.

The timing of the DLC plus all of the above Bananza is far more egregious than the cost IMO. Value and entertainment are subjective but surprised that's getting more focus.

My view of that direct can be summed up in;
"We're releasing this"
PLUS!!!
PAID DLC!!!!

They're not even hiding it any more. Also, cardboard Virtual Boy? Why cardboard?

Oof yeah. I didn't expect much from the DK DLC but it's hollow as frak. The rogue-like mode isn't massively engaging either.

If you haven't bought it, hold off.

I liked almost every "big" game in that direct so I am happy.

So glad Resident Evil is coming over. Been a fan since 7.

Think I will trade my All-Stars copy in for Galaxy 2, never cared about Sunshine, only got it for Galaxy 1 to begin with.

AND a new fire emblem already? I never got into Engage so hopefully this fares better.

As a limited release title you'd probably be better off selling it on ebay/marketplace. You'd get more than what a game store would give as a trade in. I know I paid $90 on ebay to get my copy last year and barely seen any since under $100.

Was collecting dust for a while after I played a fair bit of Mario Kart, Zelda and Pokémon Scarlett. Hades came out and played that a lot but I havnt touched it for a good 2 weeks since NASCAR 25 came out on Xbox.

I'm playing mine all the time, between Mario Kart, Pokemon and I've still got Donkey Kong in the backlog.

I'm having a blast.

Eh, been a pretty decent launch year all things considered. A Wii U comparison is pretty far off the reality.

If not for Mario Kart World I doubt they would've sold anywhere close to as many units, and people are bored with that game already.

I want it to be a success but so far I don't see it.

And that maybe the worst Mario Kart game yet. The Nintendrones somehow are putting up with Nintendo's horrible practices like being really overpriced and how they're bricking the devices, this reminds me of the Xbox One debacle.

MKW isn't the killer app, Bananza is. That and Hades 2 are some of the frontrunners for GOTY and (as of now for Hades 2) are console exclusive.

It's been a commercial success already, that's not even debatable.

But I feel like the Pokemon bundles will move a heap for xmas

But Nintendo have made some really silly moves already, like the upcoming Mario wonder switch 2 update next year with party mode DLC that nobody wants. I just wanted the S2 upgrade for HDR and stuff on it.

Still waiting on the game to entice me to buy one, I'm still playing MK 8 on the Switch... would be hilarious to buy a Switch 2, just to continue to play it.

Tempted by hand held Hitman, but I satisfied that craving on the Lenovo device.

Bananza is amazing. I think they could of done a better job selling how fun and how much there is to do in it.

Will be high up on GOTY lists. #2 on mine behind Death Stranding 2

I've seen the videos, hasn't really swayed me into buying it... plus while the "negative" is likely overplayed and overstated - I've read reports of people getting motion sickness from it. Something I wouldn't want to experience :-/. That said I've watched game play videos and have been fine.

The biggest negative i had was getting thr Bananza songs stuck in my head. And by the end I started to not hate a couple as much

I've been playing MKW again but only knock out mode online.

Hurts to say but it's been a disappointment as if not for knock out mode then I would have stopped playing it already.

There's potential there but it seems Nintendo is too stubborn to bow to what people want.

I'm trying to find a good simulator to play, I tried a train simulator but you have to do too much stuff in-between driving the trains.

Nintendo making silly moves is par for the course. People have just been a little silly in thinking the launch was anything short of a resounding success.

You are allowed to not be a fan of the launch. Nintendo has the idea of release and patch later for a while, and World looks like another one of those. It is missing more battle modes and 200cc and honestly some more tracks.

Unlike the Wii-u. Third party support the Switch 2 and theres no confusion on if its an add on or a sequel like there was for the Wii-U. It also isn't lagging behind with developer cost, even though it is weaker than the rest by virtue of a hybrid. It still has a form of 4K support keeping it modern. The Wii u entered HD just barely and was miles off.

Even without World, it would never be anything like the Wii u for those reasons alone.

Over its first 3 months market, Nintendo Switch 2 is now 5% ahead of the previous record setting pace of PlayStation 4, which sold 2.2M units during the 3 months ending January 2014.

This one seems pretty dodgy. Tying the game to the console rather than the account. PlayStation didn't take Horizon back from me when I swapped my PSVR2 over.

Once a Zelda game and Odyssey 2 are on it I reckon I'll cave and get one. Bonanza does look good though.

Mario Kart World doesn't interest me. I'd rather play Hades 2 on my PS5.

There are probably just as many Nintendo centric forums on the internet as there are general gaming forums. I doubt any diehard Nintendo fan is coming to an Aussie football forum over say another Aussie forum like Whirlpool.
