I was all for Trac last year...

But that's because it looked like we were in the window and ready for a top 4 push...

Now, it's clear that was a false dawn, so bringing in a 30 yr old Trac does nothing to help us move forward. Pass.

On a horrendous. big $$$ contract too apparently. Hard pass

Now Dees reportedly prepared to pay some

Wouldn’t be surprised if Melbourne accept a late first rounder / early 2nd to clear Trac’s contract from their books.

Reality is however they’ll be paying a portion of contract.

If you can get him for a late first and say 70% of his contract it’s daylight robbery.

You say trash, I say spoke openly and honestly about the standards and culture at the club. Gotta give and take honest feedback to start change.

Honestly though, who knows. Maybe they have a golf group chat.
He specifically criticised our recruiting strategy from memory, so I'm not sure he'd be back so soon to help the club with its list decisions.

After seeing him play again this year, he confirmed what I suspected all along, that is he's now 'Gun Shy'.
He'll never be the same player after than horrific injury (I don't blame him), let alone get to contests.
He also needs to lose about 5-10kg.
A shadow of the player he was.

Great all we need is trac to the Pies so they are even stronger! Why would teams help them.

It's the current landscape. A player requesting a trade nearly always gets to their club of choice which tends to be one contending because they are well run.

Trac isn't the same player he was. Seems slower and more hesitant out on the field. Still a great player just not one you'd want to sell the farm for.

Similar to Dusty after his kidney injury. Even though he still had some good games he just never got back to being that absolute beast again.
