... after our forwards have learnt nothing about being proper forwards... under Goody's and the past footy dept's high-ball into the pockets... the kids need someone to teach them how to get organised.

I would not be against Tex Walker to do the exact same teaching play, on a 1yr contract.

Let's say Flanders is worth pick 23. That means Trac is worth 6.............. +14. Way overs I reckon. Although there is an uncanny amount of academy picks so who knows. I'd froth over that though.

I would do something like this for a few of our players.

Tracca. Yes >> Of the GCS, Swans, and GCS P.6....have the best hand of picks so far for us... Blues will end up with P.9 as compensation for TDK. The Swans will have P.10 so will need to add a little something to the mix...

The Bummers are the black sheep, holding P4, P.5, and will receive imo P.6, as compensation for Draper.??? Could the bummers entice Tracca and or Fritta to they're red&black jumper? Or possibly Lever to organise they'tre defence.

Lever. Yes. >> many a club need tall defenders to help organise they're back halves. Including funny enough, the Crows... the Bummers, the Blues, the Bulldogs P.10.

Fritsch... would be worth a top 15 pick this year, or next seasons draft. Maybe one year too soon, for Fritta.?

Oliver... maybe next year to float Oliver's availability.? He showed this year he can still do it, and be better next year.

We replaced Trac and Clarry at times with Rivers, Pickett, Windsor, Langford and even Lindsay and Salem at times and it seemed to do **** all.

Biggest issue was Goodwin “everyone is a defender” mantra with JvR often 100m away from goals trying to run back but having a Ben Brown like forward did work wonders for us in 21, and it would again if we could find a key forward.

Having blokes who can’t win contests forward of the ball often resulted in it rebounding out of our D50 and it going straight back in as opposition defenders cleaned our forwards up in 50/50 contests.

Except we didn't. Trac played 23 games, 5th most CBAs (behind Gawn, Oliver, Kozzy, and Viney), Oliver played 22 games, 2nd most CBAs.

Interestingly, Luke Hodge was saying on SEN today he would take Merrett over Petracca due to the ball use of both.
