The last I heard about King was he wanted to stay because of team improvement.

Love this and he’s worth a punt.
Even if we lose Mihocek, pretty confident that McStay, West, Membrey, Buller and maybe even Howes could hold the fort for 1 season while we go after King in 2026.
Well if we're doing that I guess you include Mitchell too..Membrey played a game for Sydney too....

So I guess he Knocked Back Swans 2 year offer and Choose usSydney is also bracing to lose young key forward Jack Buller, who is set to request a trade to Collingwood despite playing the final nine games of the season and kicking 11 goals. The Swans have also tabled him a two-year deal to stay. – Riley Beveridge

Well guess we think we will Lose at least MiocheckGiven swans have offered the same contract as us, we must have told him he’ll have a best 23 spot at the club ( not many we recruit tend to start in the vfl) which is interesting.
I think the writing is on the wall with Brodie. He deserves a bit of a pay packet at the end of his career.Well guess we think we will Lose at least Miocheck

I love Checkers. He is the epitome of a Collingwood player and would love to see him as a one club man. Unfortunately, he started late and has not had the luxury of slowly building his fortune. As you say, we can't afford to have our ageing forward line all retrie at once. If anyone deserves a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, it's Checkers.I think the writing is on the wall with Brodie. He deserves a bit of a pay packet at the end of his career.
Plus we need to rebuild over a decent time frame, otherwise we might run the risk of seeing mihocek McStay Membrey Elliott and Cox all retiring at once.
I think we'll get just as good a contest from buller after watching kings last gameI can't see him leaving the Suns now. He's done the hard yards with that club, only to leave when they will start having success. Can't see it happening, unfortunately....
Spot on. The younger one with upside is our way to goI think we'll get just as good a contest from buller after watching kings last game
That'd be a waste of perfectly good liquid. She doesn't deserve to have money poured away on her. Now other liquids, that might be a different story, depending on the liquid.Pour drinks on Caro after the parade.
Ill bring the Tholo and TharthaparillaPour drinks on Caro after the parade.
I don’t know if 10 months is worth bothering to mention as younger.Spot on. The younger one with upside is our way to go
No Passiona though. Nothing with passion in it belongs anywhere near her.Ill bring the Tholo and Tharthaparilla
Powell and Phillips were getting around 50% midfield time compared to 34% for Simpkin. Those 2 are the at the bottom end of their midfield group. There's no doubt he's not getting enough midfield time. His best footy is always when he's playing mid. That's what happens when you have 100 top draft picks but you take all midfieldersCircling back to discussions from earlier today and I’m not sure about the Simpkin shade. I’m inclined to agree with Buckley that it’s bullshit, but if it’s legit and both parties are ok with him departing I’m fine with adding a 20ppg high half forward. Don’t get sucked in by the reporting of him wanting midfield time that’s just a way of agitating to get out. I’m confident that he’d be happy in any role at a successful club.
He’s had to do a lot of heavy lifting over the years alongside LDU and I think he’d benefit in a system with more experience and help. I’m not gunning for it, but at the right price I’d be one to get around it.
My take is that’s because they have no other role and being a good enough footballer in an ordinary side has cost him midfield minutes. In a world where we brought him in there’s midfield roles available with time.Powell and Phillips were getting around 50% midfield time compared to 34% for Simpkin. Oh well, younger and infinitely cheaper at the trade table thenI don’t know if 10 months is worth bothering to mention as younger.
Last time he played bulk mid mins in 2022 he was avg 27 touches,Powell and Phillips were getting around 50% midfield time compared to 34% for Simpkin.
