Now that our season is over, and news is starting to break - it's time for a fresh thread.

This thread is to discuss all things list management - trades, draft, free agency, delistings and more.
As we are now officially in our off-season, we'll be wanting to keep this thread more strictly on-topic than the previous iterations.
Be respectful. You are allowed to disagree with someone - but play the ball, not the man. Repeat offenders will have their posting rights revoked.

2025 KEY DATES
Free Agency Period: Friday, October 3rd - Friday, October 10th
Trade Period: Monday, October 6th - Wednesday, October 15th
AFL Draft: Wednesday, November 19th - Thursday, November 20th

Got a good mate who is a dogs supporter, very reasonable sort.

He said he’d go as far as trading Freijah and their first rounder (with the thought being we could get McKenzie or Flanders with it whilst retaining our first) but openly acknowledged that wouldn’t get it done.

EDIT: Butts also has some of the best hair I've ever seen.

Was bullied and harassed into it. I saw the actual footage of the call. Wilkie was on a kitchen chair in a darkened empty room with a single light bulb over his head.
He had a copy of the Herald Sun to show the date, and read from a piece of paper supplied by his captors.
" I.... LOVE.....THE.... CLUB....."
" I....AM ....LOOKING....FORWARD....TO...2026"

The dashes above was him blinking Morse code. SOS ( I think it was save our souls, or maybe the initials of his captor, not sure), and TORTURE ( which I think refers to his current contract)

Pretty damning stuff.

I saw that footage too, and I was shocked to see SOS in the room with Wilkie. Pics for evidence below

Slightly troubling post on a number of levels but I was glad to see the word 'has' in that last edit sentence rather than 'have'.

No way would you be banking on Flanders & Mackenzie to be A grade mids
Freijah is a Lipinski type, handy but not A grade material.
Richards is the A grader with explosive run
He would have to be involved or forget it.

He’s willing to trade a lot more than the flogs on the main board and it’s still not enough by his own admission

He wants them to be better than they have been. He set the team up and it’s gone to shit ever since.

That is what GT wants people to believe.

The reality is that at that time there were multiple key players who combined to think big, drove change and had us turn the corner including GT, RB, Mark Kellet (everyone forgets about him) and some others like Gerry Ryan.

Then GT's ego got in the way as he wanted to be The One, rather that being part of The Group that drove success....and F***** it up.

Read somewhere the other day that SOS never stood for Save our Souls it was just picked because its the easiest and quickest clear phrase to morse code out under duress.

No idea if thats true but thought it was interesting.

Hes cancerous, hes lost four steps in pace not one. Hes an all or nothing risk the Dogs should consider not us.

Id take a third for Heath and use it on the academy kid we want.
