SEN reporting that Geelong are trying to walk back the concussion and say Stewart just had a neck injury.

Are Geelong really going to put the AFL in this corner? Oh boy!
I brought this up at half time. Will he have to be assessed by afl doctors or will they go on Geelong doctors advice. It seems pretty sketchie

Newcombe was absolitely useless under pressure tonight.

You seem to taking this loss worse than a lot of Hawks fans. Newcombe had a very effective tag on him. It has been a good strategy against us all year because we have no depth in hardcore clearance winners, and it effectively won Geelong the game. A pity, as it looked like we had Geelong flustered early, but you give away 20 centre clearances to 5 , and you're not going to win too many games when playing in a 6-6-6 rule system. There is a reason Sam is spending time during finals talking to other club's gun midfielders.

Tonight's entertainment didn't go the way you were hoping, huh? 😍
It was a great game but Geelong's advantages were on full display. Jack Bowes was given to you for nothing , as well as pick 7.
Bailey Smith given to you for a pathetic pick 16.
Cameron and Dangerfield given to you cheaply because they had issues and had to move to a quaint country town with a surf coast.
Why don't you build a team without rorting like everyone else?

The way it works is Geelong docs do the assessment and then Geelong’s media manager informs the commentary of the outcome so they can update viewers. So the commentary running with concussion is from Geelong’s doctors. I don’t see how they can walk it back.

See what old Scotty says in his post match

Like Nash. But Geelong supporters have nowhere near the loathing that Tiger supporters have. Maybe it's you
Nash wasn't even booed.
But we're a more tolerant bunch than AP's degenerate Tigers nuffiebase.

66-40 inside 50’s off the back of that midfield dominance.

Can’t win a game with those discrepencies.

You lost a winnable game and you don't seem to mind.
Your forward line was screaming out for a contested marking forward from the 10 minute mark of the 1st quarter.
You played Sicily in defence until the game was over and played Weddle and Chol in the ruck.
And you played the Wiz in defence.
It was really stupid coaching.

Yup, Jai was always going to cop a hard tag tonight. Unfortunately others needed to stand up, but largely didn't. Worpel was ordinary after a decent game last week. Nash ok, but not enough to make up for a well held Newcombe.

You had Bowes playing for free plus pick 7 for free and Bailey Smith for sfa. Not an even playing field.

And…they never never never get a real home game in September…

And when they earn the right to play in front of their fans…the AFL steals the majority of tickets and sells them to the team with a worse record

Has to be the most uneven playing field, literally on earth.

Why on earth were there so many hawks fans there. Unbelievable.

The MCG is there second home ground mate so don't be smug.

Sicily needed to go forward very early on and Mitchell couldn't pull the trigger.

I'm glad you're not our coach. Sicily forward is usually a desperation measure once the game has got away from us. We were battling a tidal wave of inside 50s , and Sicily was helping reduce the scoreboard impact of all that ball coming into our defensive 50. Sicily wasn't even that effective forward tonight, and we could have easily lost by more if he'd gone forward earlier. Sicily was only 2 off being our most prolific interceptor tonight - despite having spent time forward.
