Watching Geelongs forward 6 last night really shows you how far off the pace our forward line is.

They counter at pace, good kicking, find the right option so often, good mix of smalls and talls, Dangerfield somehow still in beast mode.

Even still, I’d hazard a guess and say if you put their forward 6 in our current team, they’d lose 50% of their effectiveness.
You just hope that if Curnow does happen to stay around he had a good look at the effort levels of Dangerfield!

He hit every contest at full pace with maximum effort all night.

Slightly unrelated but can people start spelling players names correctly? Shits me to tears.

Also, no nicknames.

When people constantly have to keep asking questions like “Who’s Skull?”, you know it’s time that everyone on here starts making the effort to type a players name.

Geelong were flag contenders the moment they scored Bailey Smith

Geelong continue to tick all the boxes

Is there any doubt now where Charlie wants to go..?

Is CJ still the smart choice or should Buku now be Carlton's focus..?

A so called leader Curnow an immature leader at that holding us to ransom, we should shop him around and get the best deal for us, stuff him we send him to whichever club gives us the best deal.
We don't have to do anything. He's contracted. If he wants out, he can retire unless and offer comes that is to good to refuse.

The velocity he hits contests with is actually ridiculous

Not many if any other players can do that

How does it work if Charlie “retires”? Is his contract then null and void, he sits a year out and can then come back via one of the drafts? Or is he basically tied to us until the end of his current contract regardless of a faux-retirement?

Yep, you have to be a complete package these days, and the Hawks found that out last night. They are going to need another tall next year as they are way too reliant on Gunston’s form.

Strangely enough i dont think we are as bad as public the perception of us, but we do need some big pieces.

Big mobile KPD like Weddle (or Weddle), a classy mid/fwd with endurance and great disposal (Bailey Smith is exactly what we need), and not so urgent but soon we’ll need another 3rd intercepting tall and another small with a good radar for goals.

Im not so worried if Charlie goes (moreso if he stays tbh), as I think if Kemp can totally recover from the achillies and Moir can get more active, we have a decent forward line.

Let me ask you this, given his performances in finals, and his on-field attitude and form this year, and all the public & media perception since he supposedly announced he wants out, do you think it’s likely he’ll suck it up and focus on returning to Coleman form?

That was a supreme effort, especially by a 35 yo. One that will go down in AFL history. Absolute Champion (not using that word in its modern superficial sense).

But wait there’s more 🙄

So this mysteriously comes out after GW catches up with Charlie for lunch!

Reeks of a desperate manager trying to get his player a deal and dragging in the biggest newspaper selling team to do so…

*note to managers: you do realise that GW is the captain of this ship and it’s not his maiden voyage??

Would not surprise if gw suggested to them they need to get more clubs competing for CC to have any chance of a good enough offer.
