That's pretty fair to WA I reckon.

The only other player who might have been considered is East Fremantle's 190cm forward Benjamin Wood who leads the colts goalkicking as a below ager with 29. Very impressive and nimble mover with a nice kick and some decent forward line smarts.

Harper Banfield (CL) probably not far off either.

Nah it's a crock. Foster has had a better season than half of those guys picked. There is 4 guys there from WA that have had a very ordinary season & must have photos.

Mate I can't see that any of those guys have been poor.

Byron is great. You know I rate him but he will somewhat divide opinion because he isn't a stylist. At times, he looks awkward. I rate him because I know that depsite first impressions he works his proverbial off and gets the numbers as such.

But I can see why at first people go nah.

how is next years crop shaping up compared to this years draft?
As mentioned above plenty of gems to pick up i'd compared it to the 2024 crop plenty of top talent who will star right away hill, walker jenkins , but again like this year plenty of NGA father sons but with the rules maybe changing it will be a fire sale to trade into the draft imo.

The top handful are seriously exceptional talents. The types that imo clubs will try and sell the farm for to get one similar to that of the Reid, Watson, McKercher draft.

The rest are a wait and see but from what I've seen they're substantially better than this years crop just in terms of overall skill level in their champs matches last year and how they've looked as bottom agers against the 18s this year.

Any Essendon NGA/F-S's

Ethan Matthews one of the best for SWS Blues in their loss in the Sydney Premier league finals today, the Blues are now out of the finals. There's quite a bit of talent in that league. Matthews turned 17 years of age earlier this week.

Holly cow Gus Teixeira was massive today, cody Templeton is going to be scary next year

We must be soon due for a September update Haggas are we, now that most of the Junior competitions are finishing up.

It would also be great to have your view from this draft crop on a top 15/20 by position eg. Ruck, Mid, Wing, KPD, KPF, Fwd (small/flank) and Def (small/flank) from across the nation.
