Too small - he is 2cm shorter than Joel Selwood and not dissimilar in build, and he will add more muscle over time. He's taller than Rowell, the same height as Butters and 11 cm taller than Watson (ok, nothing to write home about!). He's taller than Atkins and Stengle and Mannagh and Miers.

When I say he still looks too small I'm not referring to height but that he's still missing a kilo or three of muscle and can still get shoved off the ball a bit easily.

Shoutout to Gryan and his development. The man oozes silk and sees the game in a different way. Some of his highlights last night were next level
This. I recall a sportsman’s night I attended a few years ago where Gaz, Joel and Danger spoke very very highly of him in his early days and I just didn’t see it. Has developed into a jet though

If he's free other than a modest salary, he adds depth. On current output, there's no way he's best-22. Clark had a better game for sure.
Agree. Haven't been a Clark fan but last night he had a lot of Atkins attribute from where I sat. He may yet become that elite small mid that we crave, like Butters or Gulden- why not aim high?!
Worpel- why is he available, and why would we want an average player on our list?

First and foremost, don't **** with CTE. I grew up watching the first known casualty, Mike Webster. A devastatingly sad end for a man's man.
Stewart took a long time to return after his last concussion. That is reason enough to be extra-cautious and not just do the minimum. If it were H/A now, I wouldn't bring him back until he was at 100% full speed in match sims. He wasn't that when he came back last time. IMO.
I 100% agree.

Stewart has a history of concussions so we need to be super careful. Also, the speed with which we subbed him out of the game is telling with this one. It felt like he was off the ground, and within 30 seconds of him being in the rooms Clark had his warm up top off and was subbed into the game. That says to me that Stewart was clearly not well. For a bloke with his history it is not something to mess with.

Does Baz making the GF (in his first year across) qualify him for the famed WB midfield? Asking on behalf of 92,300+ Cat members
Bevo has such a huge ego. Baz is a running machine - and such a vital chop out link up player. You’d be desperate to have him with Bont and Richards. You’d be an idiot not to be able to guarantee him that role.

Also, remember when the Hawks were trying to get him too 🤣

Just watching the replay for the first time.

The contested mark and goal from Neale in the second quarter is genuinely huge.

Just genuine one on one skill to clunk that and goal from 45.

This kid is going to be such an asset.

We wouldn't be here without him.
Don't forget his contested mark in the first quarter, which got taken off him for Danger's free. Reckon that was better again.

I was struck at the fundamental misreading Hawthorn fans had going into the game. Apart from their certainty that Newcombe was unstoppable and that Mullin would tag him, was their certainty that it would be their "free-flowing chaos" against our "professional control". I was, like, "Chaos? Are you kidding? Please, bring chaos. We will eat you alive."

I think there is still a slight misinterpretation that our defence doesn't like the ball at ground level. I don't think that's true either.

Note: the stat where teams have the biggest 'positive differential' this year is uncontested possessions.
