I tend to agree, I like the look of him, but I didn't think his GF highlights were so outstanding that we should take him with 3 or 4. With those types of early selections, we need to be taking difference makers. I'd definitely take him over Lindsay, if you were looking for that type of player, but I think you can get HBFs like that in the future when we move out of the Top 4-5 picks and into the Top 10 picks. Was a little underwhelmed with X.Taylor's game, even though previous highlights were impressive. Reckon we really need to focus on our midfield, Robey, Sharp, Grilj, Cummings etc

Sully broke his collarbone halfway through the Cannons game. Tough unit
Yeah 2.5 games. He was destroying campaigners against Calder lolSo he’s been playing 2 weeks with a cracked collarbone?? Did note he lacked physicality and wasn’t running as much defensively vs GWV.
The reason for considering a trade of an early draft pick for a future round pick is the premise that this years draft is weak and very few if any of the kids would be top 10 in another year. I’m sure there is some talent but I’m no expert. I watch a few CFL games and of course the highlights we all see. The supposed experts have called it a weak draft. Next years draft is considered to be very good and if the AFL introduces no matching in the first round of the draft, having an extra pick will be astounding. Worth consideration.
That is some performance.Yeah 2.5 games. He was destroying campaigners against Calder lol
can you buy an eastern rangers guernsey anywhere in a womens xxxxxxxxl? might rekindle the passion
That is some performance.
Few people commented that his physicality was a little down in recent weeks. Now we know why.
BIG EFFORT !!
Went back and had a look, think he hurt it really early. Had it taped from 1/4 time against Cannons and then the last 2 finals. Massive effort. That is some performance.

Averages 40 & 3 in finals hes fully fit for![]()
Sullivan Robey capped off his amazing late rise into top 10 contention by kicking 4 goals for his team as they triumphed in the CTL Grand Final. Apparently playing with a cracked collarbone, and occasionally looking visibly in pain, he battled on manfully, throwing himself into contests with his usual zeal. It'll be fascinating to see just how high this year's bolter ends up going on draft night.
You posted this after his Prelim:This kid is special.
I said he reminded me of Jarrod Berry…I actually see more Hugh Mcluggage in his game.
How do I change my vote on this poll?
I chose to take Sullivan Robey with both picks.
You must've really loved each and every one of his 4 goals and 13 disposals on the weekend.Robey isn’t a two way mid what so ever. He hurts teams going one way but type of player gets found out at AFL level all the time these days. He reminds me of a bigger Dylan Sheil. No thanks from me

lol, with picks 3 and 4 we are looking for better than just AA or 200 gamers in terms of upside
Good comparison. I recently made the point 'hunched shoulders' are a great indication of elite players: Carey, GAS, GAJ, Cotchin...I'd forgotten about McCluggage....he also has a slight hunch (so does J Berry, so he's an exception to the rule ;-).....This kid is special.

I prefer a world where we draft our two r1 picks now and get Kellaway. That's a great scenario and my hope is we can get Robey and Cumming. Would not be disappointed with Grlj but a gun HBF is not going to win us a flag if we don't have a good enough midfield. So i'm kind of resigned to having to draft someone else.
But there's a world where West Coast pick Duursma and Robey and everyone is going to melt about Robey being off the table. In that scenario then by all means let clubs pick up the phone and make offers on draft night.
No one in their right mind is going to accept club x's f1 on its own for pick 3 or 4. But they may well offer a f2 and f1, or rd2 from this year plus f1. Or some other combo that improves our hand into next year. And if that's the case then the club can't just dismiss it out of hand.
Sliding Draft spots to increase our number of picks becomes problematic, as the data shows and the law averages. Although, you also need to factor the environment the player is entering which can shift the numbers marginally.Yes - and with 25+ years of draft data, we know that 29% of players taken from 3 to 5 make an AA team. Yes...71% NEVER make an AA team. 45% do NOT play 150+ games. Those are the facts. Of course we WANT better, but unless we somehow miraculously work out a foolproof solution, the LAW OF AVERAGES tells us what to expect based on history.
It is this sort of data our list mgt team are using to make decisions, not any form of fanciful delusion our top-5 picks are certain to be Dusty and Bont.
