I just think they're clueless. They struggle to agree on umpiring decisions on the ground as they happen.

I didn't think Nick had as fantastic a year as he has previously and realistically didn't expect him to win it.

But Rowell polling 3 votes in multiple games where he was inconsequential and didn't even score coaches votes is beyond farcical and should probably be reviewd by the AFL. There's a clear issue with the way umpires are allowed to vote. It gets worse every year.

Look, Rowell is a worthy brownlow medallist, but to get 11 unpredicted votes from 4 games is farcical especially at the expense of Nick coming second yet again.

Regardless, anyone with any football knowledge will always take the judgement of players and coaches over umpires. Nick is the best player over the list 2 years in their opinion and that's what matters.
