I think the AFL just make a rule with dogs... any FS under 200cm is not allowed to be selected by the dogs!

That would mean we need Caleb Daniel to hook up with a 200cm female basketball if one exists!

Coffield would be ok as cheap depth, but Poulter is one of the biggest tweener players in history. Too good for VFL, not good enough for AFL.

Would rather free up a spot for another draftee as I can’t see him any more than a pretty typical role player

It's interesting with the 'tweeners'. Using Poulter as the example - is it a mental thing or an ability thing that doesn't allow him, or others to consistently play at the highest level?

Look at it this way, he's deemed not good enough by the club that has the best system for role players in the entire league. There's going to be zero upside.

Dogs want to bring Wilkie and Butters both in this trade period. I'd say Wilkie is more a long shot though.

I just can’t see how we’d get a Butters trade done with him still in-contract, let alone him and Wilkie. Port won’t be accepting pick 10 and a F1 for Butters in contract, will they?

Everyone is saying how cooked Jones is. He looked more comfortable at AFL level than Coffield this year.

This will raise eyebrows but there's method to my madness and if it happens it will be the biggest shake up in the history of AFL trade week. In fact, it would eclipse Kevin Costner's heroics and brilliance in Draft Day.

The short version is we end up with Sniff back on our list for 2026 and beyond.

The long version is a lot more complex but essentially it involves Geelong being kicked out of the AFL for good and they can form a breakaway comp called the Geelong and Cotton On Football League.

A bit more involved but essentially we end up with Chris Scott

Gold Coast should invite him up there during schoolies and that may sway his decision to go to them, as long as they don't tell him schoolies only lasts for a couple of weeks
