Err no buddy
what’s insane is talking down a drafts cohort by not including the best performed draftee ALL because he never went top 10(widely regarded he could’ve easily btw)
Isn’t that whole point of old m8s post - trying to gauge the strength of last years top draftees against this years?
I mean why stop it at just top 10??
Surely you at least include the entire first round as ratings can be so subjective?
Now That’s insane !
lol you weagle fans getting weirdly upset because I pointed out a fact the best performed draftee of last year wasn’t included in old m8s very arbitrary parameters (I mean Reid was basically rated top 10 for most of the year ffs)

But anyway I gather it’s less about the actual relevance of the point being discussed and likely more to do with simply who he plays for .

If you are on the money, weagles should bid with pick 2. There's a chance it doesn't get matched, and pick 2 for Serong would be fine.In my eyes Beau Addinsall is a clear top 10 player with people rating him lower then that because people wanna chuck a tantrum about the fact he isnt available in the open draft and just lower his worth because of it
26 possessions in his final VFL game and overall looks to be the best clearane mid in the draft. Seems similiar to Caleb Serong to me. Wins clearance but then has the agility to move to the next contest as that clearance winner
Id very cautious of drafting Duursma with pick 1...
His brothers also highly rated by draft watchers but not really translating to the AFL.
Take best available I think, Dyson Sharp if he is still on the board would be my pick.Bangers! I hope your boys look after Clarry, as I am shattered that he is gone, but it's probably best for him and the club. So what will the Dees do with their 7&8? Will they trade up, or who will they have their eyes on in the draft?
I think the Dees will just be looking at BPA given you could do with a bit of youth everywhere, so I'm immediately drawn to Xavier Taylor as a potential Lever successor and maybe a guy like Josh Lindsay or Jacob Farrow could appeal as half back distributors to cover for McVee/ Rivers moving into the midfield. Robey would be the dream but i can't see him passing Richmond and EssendonBangers! I hope your boys look after Clarry, as I am shattered that he is gone, but it's probably best for him and the club. PMBangers are there any Robert or Humphrey style players in next year’s draft, that are club tied?I think the Dees will just be looking at BPA given you could do with a bit of youth everywhere, so I'm immediately drawn to Xavier Taylor as a potential Lever successor and maybe a guy like Josh Lindsay or Jacob Farrow could appeal as half back distributors to cover for McVee/ Rivers moving into the midfield. How is Zeke Uwland at 6, and Phillipou so low. Lindsay at 16? Look where Greeves is, may as well just say he isn’t getting drafted. I don’t understand how you rank a player? Even Farrow above Taylor makes no sense.View attachment 2461069
Tier Duursma
I feel I've made it pretty clear that I see Duursma as pretty far and away the best player in the draft with some really exciting traits for the next level that should hold up across a variety of positions. I imagine he'll start his career as a half back that transitions into the midfield with more conditioning behind him, with his athleticism, consistency, IQ and skills all good enough to suggest he could be an AA level player at his peak
Tier 2
Mostly made up of guys that I think have some genuinely elite traits that'll hold up at the next level but some drawbacks that might hold them out of the elite bracket at AFL level, whether that be disposal, athleticism or consistency, I'm still confident these guys will be up the top end of their respective teams at their peak, with the upper end of their potential being AA level
Tier 3
Guys that possess one elite trait or are pretty good across the board and I'm pretty confident they'll be Above Average to Good at the very least, and most have a similar ceiling to the Tier 2 guys from my POV
Tier 4
Some guys in here I really like and some I'm not huge on, but the tier as a whole is made up of prospects I see AFL level potential in but I'm not super confident they'll make it for one reason or another, but still expect them to get drafted.
Get this right… turns out… opinions do actually exist. And they’re allowed to differ from yours. Shocking… ain’t itHow is Zeke Uwland at 6, and Phillipou so low. Lindsay at 16? They be letting anyone be called draft experts these days.

Where do you reckon Tier 3 would have landed in the 2024 draft? Would most have them still have likely been Round 1 or thereabouts?View attachment 2461069

Well pretty clearly you don't fall into the "draft expert" category. They be letting anyone be called draft experts these days.
