Re: 'Alleged' rumours resurfacing ...

Folks, this is the way things are here.

Posters are responsible for what they post. Moderators can not attest to the accuracy or otherwise of any rumour posted.

Moderators will intervene for a couple of reasons.

1. If a thread is threatening to be derailed because of a post.

2. If invested parties request the removal of material.

None of this draws a conclusion as to the accuracy or otherwise of the original post.

There is no need to further speculate. What will be will be.

Also, you need to remember that this thread like all parts of this forum is bound by the rules of poster conduct. If you want to express skepticism towards a rumour that's fine, but having a crack at posters who are contributors to this forum is simply not on and will be acted upon.

Simply put, don't be a dick.

Thanks all!

Watching the 95 grand final yet again and Michael Sextons first quarter was bloody huge!!
Great player..
We came close to losing him though, luckily we didn't.

I'd want a little more than that if im being honest.. reckon it's close though..

There's a lot to play out still...

Sydney, like the other clubs are posturing.

Reality is, when a talent like Charlie Curnow becomes available, it's very rare and they won't want to miss out on the chance.

GC posturing a lot but bringing Charlie Curnow in will be massive for them.

Sydney are desperate for a gun KPF...

If we trade Charlie, we'd want it to work toward getting a pick before the Dean bid this year and an F1.

Sydney might send the Warner bros to WCE for their pick #1 or F1 + #19, forward that #1 or WCE F1 + Swans F1 to us for Charlie + our F2...

Of course, as I've been harping on about, my preference would be to get as many F1's as we can, especially if it's WCE's...

Lions 5 flags since 2000

How the **** do these clubs do it. 🤦‍♂️
Brisbane Lions are a phenomenal team, so much talent they’re just bursting with natural ability and speed an amazing outfit and next year they’ll add Allan , Draper and another top 5 gun youngster, Daniel Annabel at the draft.
No team will get close to them , especially with the finals experience they’ve accumulated.

Oscar Allen and Draper won't get a game for the Lions. Not sure why they're going there.

Don't under estimate how good Brisbane are, they have another couple of premierships in them.
This sh1ts me probably as much as the Storm playing NRL finals every year for decades would to a QLD/NSW supporter.

Which brings me around to accelerating the league equalisation policies more.
How about the AFL restricts clubs that finish top 4 or 6 from Band 1 eligible free agency trades.
Heavily reducing the incentive that the most successfull teams have of raiding the top players from the lower clubs with the lure of Premierships and also not adding to the first round compensation picks that further disadvantage the lower/mid clubs.

I think any sort of compensation for a player out of contract is absolutely ludicrous to start with. They should just kill it. period.

He’ll fit right in, skills were abominable today
not only that but openly speculated about the darkers side maybe wishing his team didn't win a flag when he was dropped for the GF a couple of years ago....weirdo
