Yeah kind of agree $15 for local footy is a little extreme especially I went to Div 3 grand final $15 for that and $15 for premier doesn’t make sense but I think league keep the gate so no reductions will be coming on that end
To be fair to the EFNL the $15 admittance to their finals has not increased at all since 2019 or could be even further back then that.

Too small.

Div 1 and 2 finals have always been fine on it.

Almost all clubs in the league play on small grounds all year then suddenly we need huge open spaces for finals?

Mitcham is the best venue in the comp by far, its central, fenced, fits a good crowd, great surface, good atmosphere, good parking, good transport… just laughable that they play anywhere else.

If size of the deck is a consideration then not sure how they can play at Beaconsfield where it’s about 7km end to end, impossible to have a good game on that.

Beats a ground that is to big,can not see the play on the opposite side of the ground from where you are standing and has no atmosphere.Plenty of parking, close to public transport, awesome facilities. You are right Bunk,Walker Park correct call, the MCG of the East for me.
Was talking to the Beaconsfield President and VERY, VERY, CONFIDENTALLY he said "Premier Grand Final is here next season".
"Have the around ground parking, Netball carpark & 2 Ovals that vehicles can be parked. Excellent ground surface & ground facilities"
They certainly had plenty of volunteers.

There's certainly no guarantee Bayswater will keep it. I've heard the league have had issues with Knox Council, and profits were way down in 2024. It's not that long ago since a packed out Bayswater Oval was a thing - Rowville v Vermont was huge in 2023 - but the last two years have been disappointing and the weather in 2022 and COVID for two years makes it feel like the glory days at Bayswater are long over. The last four years have also been low-scoring and a bit of a slog which doesn't help either. The first half on Saturday was terrible.

Ringwood would be the preferred venue but for the cricket club. The league does need a boutique, comfortable venue for its marquee day (Baysie also isn't family friendly - not many kids there on Saturday), but it also could look at itself as well. Not sure how well the game was marketed or promoted.

Mitcham is a logical and practical alternative. It's smaller, but not tiny and ticks every other box. Much prefer it over Beaconsfield or Kilsyth.

Even though Mitcham is smaller, at least the games would be higher scoring which I think is what people would want. You could even arrange with the sports club to get some form of indoor Auskick activities happening inside for the kids.

It’s a fantastic venue but ground too big - and the crowd would be very small due to location.

Still, that certainly doesn’t rule it out, they don’t have that many options.

Beacy is best venue in the comp for mine. And not far at all from nearly half the premier clubs now with Sth Bel, Rowville, Noble and Berwick not that far away.

Berwick another ground that could be considered for finals. They’ve hosted some huge finals crowds back in the sefnl days.

I don’t go that far on my holidays.

Mitcham 150x110

Berwick 180x140
Noble 160x130
South Croydon 160x120
Doncaster East 160x110
East Ringwood 150x130
Blackburn 150x120
Rowville 150x120
Balwyn 150x110
South Belgrave 150x110
Vermont 140x110

Off Google Maps so it’s approximate. And it’s fence to fence so the deck is a bit smaller.

The midpoint there is 150x120.

Ringwood Cricket Club would never agree to it, due to the fact it would be held only two weeks prior to round 1 for cricket season.
Don't think they would have much say. The handover doesnt fall until the 1st October. Decision would rest with the Maroondah Council who I assume would be keen to acquire the prem GF.

Anyways - Watch this space, can only go on what I was told.

Normally

Would depend what the cricket Victoria handover contract etc is.

As long as the ground re surfacing at Bayswater comes up OK short term it is the only suitable venue.Long term I like East Burwood but they will have no rooms next season for themselves and will most likely have to find some where else to play unless portables are used.
Portables, that's what I believe will happen!

You couldn’t finish 8th with this squad if you tried. They’ve done it two years in a row.
Shots fired! Productive grand final day bunk haha!!
So I’ll take the bait bunk, based on this they love spending cash so why go another year with James as coach when you can go get whoever as coach when there is no budget on coaches!?

Your guess is as good as mine… my assumption is none of them have a club what they’re doing
