I thought Charlie Cameron would of got some votes? When the game was tight and goals were hard to come by....kicking 4 goals to break the game open....seems strange he didnt get a vote

Bailey was clearly best on ground. I don't care about missed shots. 3.6 and 23 touches in insane for a guy primarily playing midfield.

Ashcroft a clear second best, and you can throw a blanket over a few for 3rd.
If he kicked 5.4 at least he would have got it. Blew it in the 1st half

Jesus H Christ how did Fletcher only receive votes from one pundit?
He was very good but 3 or 4 Lions were very very good.
I couldn't split Ashcroft & Andrews.

Matt Rowell was stiff

When the game was tight for and a bit quarters and goals were scared....Charlie Cameron kicked 4 goals...for him not to get a single vote from the Norm Smith medal judges is disappointing. It cant always be about players racking up possessions. Cameron provided impact when game was in balance.

Eye test had W. Ashcroft as best on for me. He was the one that kept the Lions ticking over when Geelong had their periods of dominance early and got it going their way at the coalface. Similar to his performance against the Swans last year actually.

On the Lions board, I suggested a bag of 5 would put Charlie in Norm Smith contention. Silly me. 4 goals and an assist for Hugh in the last should have yielded a vote or 2 at least.

I think in general we over value disposals and under value forwards kicking goals and defenders shutting down the opposition.

Would like to see some more recognition in the game for players today like Charlie Cameron who had the biggest impact on the scoreboard when it mattered the most, or Harris Andrews who controlled the game in the backline and gave away NOTHING, or Zorko who created so much drive from defence.

Clug Ashcroft Bailey got plenty of touches yes, and all played very well, but not all of those touches were gamebreaking. Mcclugage yes but 3 goals were junk time, and Bailey almost cost them in the first half with the amount of misses.
