I feel like our pick 11 could be enticing to the right club needing to find currency to complete a deal. So many big names out there.

I'd like to extract value for it somewhere. I was keen on Farrow, but McVee literally takes that spot now.

With no idea on the draft I'd be about downgrading it with the right club.

This is an interesting test of an aspect of David walls overall performance that is probably by far his weakest point - negotiating the right trade value for incoming players to the club.

We can’t afford to give pick 11 up here. Pick 29 for McVee is perfect.

They aren’t going to be able to pay him what he’s really worth surely. Just trying to think outside the box to widen the talent pool available to us.

The broader AFL public has not realised it just yet but I think this guy is going to be one of the top AFL players of the next decade.

Would happily put a 7 year offer worth $7 million in front of him and see could he be tempted across.

Makes me sick the depth of talent the lions have at their disposal really. Hard to compete with it

Look, Walls is a Goober when it comes to trading so im sure they'll pay whatever is asked for but at least argue in good faith. They offered him a 2 year deal, how is THAT highly valued?

fair point. that's why I've been highly critical of Tim Lamb, our list boss. But I'm not sure if it's been confirmed that melbourne wouldn't have been willing to offer more. I'm sure melbourne would've been happy to offer as long as a 5 year deal, but I'm guessing it was McVee that was so annoyed at the club that the club felt they couldn't sign him for long term. I mean, he's finished high up in our bnf several years so he is highly rated. You're getting a jet.

Any of those names out of the half back line really. Every club should be raiding them every year.

I like the Fletcher idea though, going to be hard to keep everyone and they've tasted success early so hopefully want to set themselves up financially and not take unders.

His season was ruined by injury and with a good pre-season should be B22.

I think if JLo had his time again would have brought him back in this year. May have been handy to play on Bailey Humphrey.

Before I watched non Docker games and now I don’t.

The leg up for the Lions is far over the top. Brisbane have a young midfield that go for another 10 years.

It also hurts that their recruitment doesn't miss on the non-academy picks either. Wilmot, Morris, Bailey, Lohmann all good value
