Posters are responsible for what they post. Moderators can not attest to the accuracy or otherwise of any rumour posted.

Moderators will intervene for a couple of reasons.

There is no need to further speculate. What will be will be.

Not Carlton related but dunkley ran out on GF day with grade 3 syndesmosis. Essentially he’s torn all three ankle ligaments and will likely need reconstructive surgery. He won’t run for 6 months. Apparently there is a rumour that Geelong may trade SDK to Saints for Marshall and a pick.

If they can do that then they could have a bit more currency then expected.

Would be very surprised if Saints are after SDK. They already are bringing in two tall defenders in Aleer and Silvagni this trade period.

I fail to see how Geelong satisfy Carlton though. A player worth multiple 1sts and then some who is contracted.

If I’m a betting man, I see his future away from Carlton. Has wanted out for a long time. He certainly will need back up clubs if he is as hell bent as I believe he and his camp to be to walk from Carlton.

I get that people will be worried about them finishing top 4 with Charlie... but trust me, take Holmes out and they will struggle to make the 8... their midfield is already lacking v top teams as we saw yesterday, and Holmes gone will be massive for them. They won't do it though.

Players make that type of move all the time if they can't get a game at the club they are at. Who'd ever want to go to the Saints, hey? 12th,12th, 6th, 10th in the past 4 years under Ross Lyon.
