If Simpson can come on we remove Worner and Banfield in one off season and can be more attacking.

Worner is clearly a good defender that will only get better with age. Worth keeping him on the list.If Simpson can come on we remove Worner and Banfield in one off season and can be more attacking.

We need to teach him how to kick a simple goal though.Worner is clearly a good defender that will only get better with age. Worth keeping him on the list.
And learn that he doesn’t have to walk slowly back behind the man on the mark and then assess his options for the next 10 seconds after every mark and or free kick he gets -that he can actually play on even just once in a whileWe need to teach him how to kick a simple goal though.
Reid and Bolton to play 50/50 forward and midfield I think. We are going to have some selection squeezes next season. The forwardline is still our most glaring area of need. When looking at the list it does look imbalanced playing two rucks and three KPFs. What is everyone's b23 looking like? So far I have 18 players locked in.

For discussion purposes it's easy to put them in the starting forwardline.Reid and Bolton to play 50/50 forward and midfield I think.
I think Reid playing more midfield time puts more pressure on midfield spots and opens up a forward spot.
If you could pick the perfect type of player to complement our forwards , who would you pick?
3 tall forwards, Frederick, Bolton/Reid and Switta??
Would a 185 to 190cm agile forward compliment these or do we need a true small forward?
Kosi Pickett
Talls can bring it to ground and he can legit feast and apply pressure.
Paul Curtis
Yeah I’d take the bigI was more thinking of type of players we draft.
Would Mitch Marsh work? 190cm forward
Or does it need to be a smaller forward
at our first no probs.Oh.I was more thinking of type of players we draft.

You make JOM sound like a sex toyAnother winger and put the heat of NOD and Sharp to play the other side.
Get Dudley fit and find some consistency.
Decide if Sam Sturt will ever be a player. No more 29yo project players.
Decide if JOM can be the on ball battering ram.
See what the Dees want for McVee, they have been difficult to deal with historically.
We resigned Ras when he had trade currency, decide what his role is.
18 months ago David King said Brisbane should sack Fagan. We need a coach that can get the most out this teams talent.
So far, JLo is like the old codger who has been handed the keys to a flash sportscar and just does not know how to get the performance that the car is built for.
Think the talls almost cancel out the need for a medium forward tbh.I was more thinking of type of players we draft.

Of course there's still room for 185cm player that can play like a small forward when the ball hits the deck.
Think a version of Switta more suited to playing closer to goal would be ideal. A player that can provide heaps of pressure and tbh the goals, goal assists etc would be a bonus.
We probably need a medium forward as depth (to replace a KPF when injured). Not sure I'd use a first rounder on that though.
Agree, Frederick plays like a medium tall at times as well.
It is a bit of pity, because Mitch Marsh would be close to be available at our pick.
I assume if we go a small forward it will be either Jevan Phillipou or Lachy Dovaston.
I like the look of Sam Cummings. I wonder if he could play as a 50/50 fwd/mid in the AFL, then we could squeeze him into our side.
Read somewhere that Freo really like Cumming.
Tbh though I'm happy enough with the best available small/medium player at pick 18 or so.
I'll be pretty pissed off if we draft a genuine tall at that selection but it's much easier to fit smaller players into our best 23. Not going to be too pissed off if it's not one of our main needs provided we address those later on.
What we do with the last few list spots could be as important as our first rounder this year. Nail the drafting of a mature ager and it's someone that's at least part of our depth for 5+ years starting pretty much straight away (some mature agers still need a year in the system).
