If it is Angwin then no, but if it is last chance saloon type chance like Stengle, then could be worth the free hit.

I think Cochrane will hold his value like Sharp, at least a top ten pick. I am not sure if it's just hype over Pilot. They have a couple of others that should be okay but of course now they will have to pay more for them.

Sam Edmund was saying there was no way we would do a straight two firsts for Petracca. We would probably want a future second coming with him.

TF! He’s 30 next season. Big name players move all the time and only ever worth two firsts when 25 and younger. Ideally second coming back which could possible be very high if Dee’s bottom out.

Just a side note: I really wish people would stop saying pick 14 becomes pick 20 after academies. FA compo yes, but the academies picks no.

These Gold Coast and Brisbane players aren’t available to anyone but Gold Coast and Brisbane (at least until new changes come in). So it’s still the 14th pick for available players. Whether the academies slip in there making it a later pick has no impact on the available players. If they were available at 14 with no academies, they’ll still be there at 20 with academies.

It's just cope for fans of the team about to get fleeced. We've been there.

Agreed. We look to have restructured deals recently to unlock some cash to spend, so wear the salary hit without the draft capital.
