All these people saying sharp doesn't have a high ceiling .

What sharp will do is raise our floor from season 1 and set standards for many years once he is established.

That is what we need to do first before we even think about cream on top players to raise the ceiling
I cant help but think of David Swallow with Sharp.

Can anyone give some pros and cons of Tylar Young? A quick Wikipedia search mentioned he quit AFL to focus on football until he was 20 so that would at least suggest he's a good kick.

Any idea what it'd cost us to get him in?

I get a more "How much longer can Dyson Sharp be debated" vibe.

And I for one am all for it.

Personally think it's irrelevant as I don't think WCE will draft him unless his combine results are hugely better than expected.

I'm all ready for the impending shit storm of us drafting Duursma and then 2 years of identical shit from Vic media the same as Harley. Then they both come out of contract at the same time and are both being offered 2+ mill a year by vic clubs.....

Going to be ****ing magnificent.............

Duursma doesn't have the same hype as Harley so whilst I'm sure there'll be offers, there won't be the media pressure.

With 2 brothers and a sister in Victoria and Harley having dated his sister. He's not half the player and the fiasco might not be the same in the first year but come second or third year it will be insanity if he plays and plays well.

Maybe but that's not really something we can concern ourselves over currently.

X only left Port because they pushed him out to bring in Zerk-Thatcher, so it's not like he was a flight risk like some people make out.

Not much. Out of contract and Tigers will probably be wanting to play some young players coming back from injury ahead of him.

Doesn't look like a great deal. Essendon's F1 probably only a 50 - 60% chance of being in the top 10 next year.

I would only consider it if the best 5 or so players were interstate kids and unpickable for us due to Go Home factor.
Essendon will be at 50-60% to be a top 3 pick next year. 100% certain to be top 10.
