Realistically though, what do you see is gettable for pick 4 if we want a F1?

They'll finish high due to their cheat ground and the CFL.
In terms of prio, I'd take:
Essendon's pick 9 (from Hawthorn for Merrett) + F1 (very unlikely; maybe if we added 2027 F2 but that won't be useful for matching Bewick with the changes to the F/S + Academy rules)
Gold Coast's pick 6/7 + F1
Dogs pick 11 + F1

Bombers will not be trading an f1.
You can virtually rule out the entire bottom 8 bar saints from trading a f1. Next years draft is way too good and the top end talent would be picked before Duursma this year.
Gc/hawks/crows are the picks we might get.
Them or GC if we want to get into next years first round.

He may not be the popular choice but he makes the most sense IMO.
Splitting is only an option if we clearly come out on top. Hawks may be desperate for Merrett and want Pick 4 to satisfy. Same with Adelaide for Petracca.
Lot to play out. Blair is ahead of the game.
At this stage, they know a lot about him.
Robey they need to do more work on. He’s shot into calculations recently. Can’t gamble at Pick 3.

If next year is a far superior draft which were hearing from those itk it makes a bit of sense. I think we as supporters hate the idea of trading into the future because we lose a horse to bet on this year but the clubs always gonna do what's best for the club.
If we can get a decent return, then all for it, but i just have my doubts that we will get a real decent pick this year if we somehow manage to get a f1. I guess the important thing is we are in a position to do so, so our options are open unlike other clubs.
I can't see us taking Robey if we keep picks 3 & 4. The only way we will take him is if we split our picks and take him with a pick in the teens. Hartley is too professional to make a last minute decision on a players value. All of our picks are based off years of scouting and evaluating. Sharp (&/or Cummings) is the most likely choice with three who plays a very similar role and would work well along side Smilie.
Can't see what Hawks could offer up that would satisfy though? They'll probably be top 4 the next couple of years. 2 x pick ~16 won't cut it, plus at least one of them would likely go to Bombers anyway.
I do like Cam Mackenzie though....
