Geelong switching apparel sponsors?

To the Eagles Supporters, does this video resonate with you?
Yep, it’ll be interesting what the byline underneath says. Anyone recall what Hawthorn ran with in 2015?Brisbane to keep the Gold logo next season?

The white box looks really yuck
Better neutral white than introducing another colour. The white box looks really yuck
Common sense and AFL teams don’t seem to go too well together

Just for GWS games, lucky me!I wonder what Gold Coast have planned to further mess with this board. Fully expecting the Pink to be their new full-time away jumper with the yellow relegated to clash status.
I just a had a quick google and burley/seekem are part of Kookaburra. In that case I suspect North will have similar stuff to freo but with Kookaburra’s branding thenProbably shouldn't expect to hear anything more about North and Kookaburra until the end of October.
It's not common sense- the sponsor pays top dollar for that guernsey space and they want their logo to both stand out and reflect their brand guidelines.Common sense and AFL teams don’t seem to go too well together![]()
I actually think the white box makes the entire back of the jumper look messy which in turn makes the sponsor text less readable than it would be if it were white on black. It's not common sense- the sponsor pays top dollar for that guernsey space and they want their logo to both stand out and reflect their brand guidelines.
They don't care about blending in with the guernsey aesthetics. They want their logo to be seen clearly and be instantly identifiable in a fast paced sport.

And I always think the funniest, not at all the case thing is when they decide to use the "Not designer liked" version of a logo, everyone starts talking about the business more and more and more.Bingo.
Sponsor spends the money, and has the final say. Even with the best intentions from a club or manufacturer level, there’s so many stakeholders with sponsors that they want to maximise their QI value as much as possible.
White box doesn’t necessarily guarantee more QI value, but equally they don’t want their logo to be lost which could minimise it.

Telstra has so many weird competing ad campaigns at the moment. The "wherever we go " Whistle ad, the Telstra Internet ad with Buscemi, I still see the "better on a Telstra network" mobile animals campaign.(not jumper related, but) see: Telstra whistle ad.
Jarring is going to get more attention than seamless, which then gets people noticing your brand. I’m very much on the seamless “design purist” train (and have been mostly successful at pushing that in this space) but on the other end of the spectrum is going to be sponsors wanting to maximise every last cent of their investment.![]()

I worked there for over 10 years, I never saw a more diluted series of campaigns, even if each ad is advertising slightly different offerings.
Bloody Telstra, ey
