Id suggest or hope some of the new clubs have ventured down to gfl grand final and even look at a car load of the best reserves players offering some coin there to come up next year

So what actually happened here? Sounds like they were blindsided by it, Nyah people I spoke to at the Grand Final seemed to have no idea.

Murphy will definitely have his work cut out at Swan Hill, not walking into a prelim side like he did at Nyah. A lot of exciting young blokes at the Swans though

Yep he does, as did the Hamilton boys who were playing Carlton vfl, and hardly played vfl footy.

Id encourage if they want to play vfl chat to pat Kelly from nully, geelong vfl tend to give plenty of vfl guys a run and play in the geelong league, I reckon ringo whos got vfl ties would love them at lara

Dominant grand final performance from the Woorinen outfit, congratulations to all involved. Midfield masterclass from Gardner, Thompson, Barry and Warburton. Mathew Gardner the clear standout who stopped everything across half back. Poor day for the demons but a remarkable 3 year run for them, a prelim and 2 x grand final appearances with a premiership in 2024.



Both teams set to look a little different in 2026 with Murphy, O’Neil, Iudica brothers leaving Nyah. Woorinen will lose Warburton and Miliado to the Bellarine, Reid brothers back to Newtown along with Barry also set for a stint in the NT and will go on to Cairns was the information I have received. Does Stone go around again?

Shouldn’t. It’s not like Kerang when they were far too good for any club to reach their level. Teams expecting to win a premiership would expect to be at Woorinen’s level this season. Last thing the league needs is for sides to drop away.
