Gillman has been the assistant coach for 3 years under Harvey. I heard back in the day he played for Strathmore or Abers. According to players he has a very good footy brain and well liked.

And this year coached either an under 14s or under 15s edfl boys inter league team and they did well

Had a good laugh at this of Haddy's page. Quite hard to believe really. I've watched Godden play a few times now. Genuine star inside and outside. Amazing that the umps haven't given him a single comp vote in two seasons LOL! And no he's not a mouth or abuser either from what I've seen. Az Evans deserving winner for what it worth the other night.

Good effort to keep them, however take Elliot out of Roxy and they are at least 5 goals worse off.
They will be hard to beat, however far from certainties to go back up.

Div 2 is super even. East will spend even more next year so they should be better and Burnside, Hadfield and Kangaroos should improve with the kids coming through.

May very well see some players from Gisborne and Riddell at SK next year after speaking to a few lads I know from both clubs over the weekend.

Huge drop from these clubs to EDFL div2. Great for SK but gee once they play a few games probably want to get out of that comp.

Definetely a much more even competition from when Roxy last palyed.
The club under no illusion of how competitive it is.

For the Gissy lads yes mate. Riddell boys not really. The bottom half of the RDFL teams would be no different to EDFL Div 2 imo. This division has improved a lot in a short amount of time mate.

I’m not with you on this. This year we saw the most recently relegated team, Rupo, win the Division 2 flag to go straight back up. The gap between Div 1 and Div 2 is significant. This years Rupo team probably would be competitive against the bottom 2 RDFNL sides and maybe on par with the Giants. The top 3 or 4 RDFNL sides this year would have pushed for finals in Div 1 and Riddell probably for a GF berth.

I disagree with you here.
Have to consider that the Rupo side that was relegated was also only 4 points of Tulla & MV and 2 points of Roxy. It was tight at the bottom and they were just unlucky it was bottom 2.
They recruited pretty well last off season so had a stronger side in 2025 than 2024.
In recent years, Oak Park go up and have played finals first 2 years up, Taylors Lakes go up and almost play finals first year. The gap is probably smaller than you think.

The current Rupo list is worlds apart from the list that they had in 2023 when they played in the Div 1 prelim. Unless they recruit heavily this off season mid table will be the best hope for 2026.
Oak Park and Taylor’s Lakes recruited heavily and well when they went up and continued to top up, no signs of similar so far from Rupo.
If the Riddell players rumoured to be heading to SK are from this years senior group SK will improve significantly, if they are from this years Reserves group they will improve only marginally.
