Moderators will intervene for a couple of reasons.

Heard from someone in the know last Friday. Holmes won't be traded - categorically. The player that Geelong are preparing to centre their Curnow negotiations around is Gryan Miers who is managed by Liam Pickering. I don't believe Miers is even aware of that yet but that's what I heard from a trusted source.

(Carlton should be a firm NO on this by the way. It's just what I've heard).

Would've been delisted in his first 2 years if he was in any system except for Geelongs.

We musnt be able to attract good coaches with the Voss situation. Which is why it was a strange decision to keep Voss for at least 1 year. If they were gonna keep him then should have extended him. Which we do not want.

So we should have bought in a whole fresh coaching panel.

We do need a senior assistant coach. Any chance of this happening.

In 2019 our small forward options were O'Dwyer, Fasolo, LeBois, Garlett (Jarrod not Jeff), Lang, Polson, Deluca, Pickett, Owies, and Gibbons (the best of the lot). A couple of those never played a game, most played no more than a handful.

I don't think we would've delisted Miers, he would've been our best small forward by a fair margin.

His kicking and versatility alone puts him above C grade, multiple clubs chasing him, 900k contract puts him above C grade.
On a side note not all C graders are bad Zac Guthrie is a genuine C grader who if he was at the blues would of been delisted 4 years ago and he has just played in a grand final.

Adams was a very promising player before his career was cut short. Has a reasonable CV at a “poor” club. Not hard to imagine differences with Clarko. Expect he would be a progressive type.

We need to refrain from judging all prospects by narrow parameters. Hopefully has been assessed on the right criteria and adds to the group. In fairness, playing profile or club origins should be low on the priority list, barring the absolute need for some influences from “successful cultures”.

Name a match winner that has come to Carlton as a trade - just one.

Money is the #1 predictor of where a player ends up.
An easier job to do because of quality proven players around you is #2..

Maybe the Carlton super stars arent rated as 'super stars ' by players in other teams - for good reason.

Over the last two years Carlton has bolstered its youth
This year the CLub is focusing on bolstering the missing age gaps in starting players via trade and maintaining investment in the draft - whilst playing of the back foot trying to veor for a semi decent ruck a sometimes on the park silvagni (no big deal really) and a snotty nosed self serving ingrateful type in curnow.

The list failed in 2022/23/24 and 2025 - the rebalancing started last yea rin earnest and will continue this year.

Blame the coach if it makes us feel better - he will be lucky to be there a year from now anyway. Any better coach is going to want a clean sheet a healthy balanced list and money to spend.

The midfield is Geelongs weakest area I highly doubt they are trading him for a position they already have strength in.
