Folks, this is the way things are here.

Posters are responsible for what they post. Moderators can not attest to the accuracy or otherwise of any rumour posted.

Moderators will intervene for a couple of reasons.

1. If a thread is threatening to be derailed because of a post.

2. If invested parties request the removal of material.

None of this draws a conclusion as to the accuracy or otherwise of the original post.

There is no need to further speculate. What will be will be.

Also, you need to remember that this thread like all parts of this forum is bound by the rules of poster conduct. If you want to express skepticism towards a rumour that's fine, but having a crack at posters who are contributors to this forum is simply not on and will be acted upon.

I’ve said many times Butters is a pipe dream BUT there’s some noise around him,not just us either you can imagine how many clubs would be after him.

And on the outside chance he decides to leave, you would think we’d be in with a fair chance with now having Davies on board.
Not sure if boak has made his decision as to which club he wants to be at next year?

Adams was a very promising player before his career was cut short. Has a reasonable CV at a “poor” club. Not hard to imagine differences with Clarko. Expect he would be a progressive type.

We need to refrain from judging all prospects by narrow parameters. Hopefully has been assessed on the right criteria and adds to the group. In fairness, playing profile or club origins should be low on the priority list, barring the absolute need for some influences from “successful cultures”.

The other thing with our assistant hires is we need those with specific strengths (tactics). So might be a bit hard to judge from the outside.

We musnt be able to attract good coaches with the Voss situation. Which is why it was a strange decision to keep Voss for at least 1 year. If they were gonna keep him then should have extended him. Which we do not want.

So we should have bought in a whole fresh coaching panel.

We do need a senior assistant coach. Any chance of this happening.

Would never happen, but I could dream:

Carlton - Butters
Sydney - Curnow
Port - Pick 2 (West Coast)
West Coast - Warner brothers.

and then pick swaps here and there to even it all out. ie i think Port would want more.

Add a swap of maybe Blues 2025/26 2nd which goes to Port and WCE 3rd to us and that would work for me, and maybe all involved too?

Not that long ago, folks here would have considered it a massive win to get an assistant coach from the "Clarkson Academy".

We need some coaches from successful clubs, but being a coach at a successful club doesn't mean that success can simply be replicated in another environment, just as a coach who is part of a club not currently considered successful is not necessarily an incompetent peanut with no useful skills or ideas.

Coaching is a team sport in itself, need to get the right mix and balance.

TDK compo (around 10/11) for pick 21 and 24

Maybe with a future 3rd thrown in for Chesser.

Helps them get up the order to players they might rate higher.

I think they'd do that in a heart beat but think we can do much better with that pick.
