Possibly.

But baccs you have to admit that it is likely a draw card for him and his wife

Meanwhile his wife had apparently never even been to Adelaide.
The weather is great up there of course, but if he wants the big crowds and to be the superstar in a footy mad state, then he won't be picking GC. It's not like he's desperate to leave Vic either, which has the same type of weather as Adelaide.

Why does it matter if his wife had been here before? She would know that Adelaide is better for his food career, which she is the manager of

Much more smoke around us than the Suns.

It's like you heard the Suns were also interested and then you've gone "welp guess that's it then. We ain't getting Petracca!"
Possibly.

From what I’ve seen there are more signs of him going to the Suns, albeit not by any significant margin.

Maybe I’m setting myself up now to avoid greater disappointment. I think there is enough reason to be pessimistic though.

FWIW Petracca isn’t a dream target for me like Rankine was. A few years ago? Absolutely. It feels a little late to the party now even though he is still clearly a quality player.

My worry is more that we don’t have much to bank on improving next year aside from Ah Chee and hopefully a couple young guns stepping up. Which is ok, except that our rivals are getting serious quality in.

If Petracca enjoyed playing in front of more seagulls than people at the MCG, then we really can't compete with GC

Football wise I agree.

But she would have a significant say and she obviously loves the beach life up there.

These things count for a fair bit.

if reports are true - Trac was unhappy getting pushed out of the midfield this year.

How does Trac get more midfield minutes in. GC stacked midfield with Anderson, Rowell, Miller and Humphries

Surely they intend on playing Trac more forward ?

There's heaps pointing both ways, just depends on if you're a half full or half empty kinda person.

Personally, I'm usually a "There's nothing in the cup" kind of guy, but I've got a good feeling about this for some reason
Things in Adelaides Favour:

1. Premiership Window
2. ANB
3. Food and Wine
4. Crowd (edited)

Things in GC Favour

1. Premiership window
2. Very Talented young squad
3. Not needing to do the heavy lifting
4. Longevity and protection of his body
5. Hardwick
6. Apparently Noosa?

Things that could go either way:

Being the main man in the spot light of a footy mad town.
Now depending whether he wants this or not, this could be either positive or negative.

Lifestyle, depending on what type of lifestyle this could go either way.

What have I missed?

Agree there’s been a lot more around about the Suns, but everyone apart from Crows fans are praying he goes there so they’ll push this narrative in the media and on socials - ie GC Fans (tbf all 2 of them), Melbourne Fans, Port Fans as well as Tom Morris (Melbourne mouthpiece), Rucci (Port mouthpiece) and the AFL media (Nepo FC lovers)

If 3, 4 and 6 are factors for him to GC, then I don't really want him. We need an invested midfield King.

I'd say whichever club offers him the better contract is a bigger factor.

If we were in the running for NWM, we obviously have a shitload of cap space available.

petracca has just landed in gold coast. according to tom morris. will meet with them soon today as GC have there bnf tonight
I find this a little weird

Flying in on the afternoon just before their BnF

Petracca would love a 10-20 minute commute to West Lakes or Thebarton compared to 1.5 hours drive out to Cranbourne.
