Love skinny. Forward coach. And that voice.I have no idea on whether it has any relevance to us, but I note Skinny Lappin has left Southport Sharks: https://football.southportsharks.com.au/football/matthew-lappin-departs/
Hamill was a mutual departure, Lonergan, Ebert and Power left for new opportunities. They weren’t sackedCan't help but feel we have let go a few coaches and Wright and Davis have been smacked in the face with how hard it is to get people to work at this club compared to where they were at. Has to be the problem.
Aim high, crash land, setup to fail, fail, rinse and repeat. Our reputation which we have spent the last 20 years dragging through the mud and our coaches' may not be helping. How we have set coaches up and how well we have been going speaks for itself.
Adams to coach our midfield? North have been hammered over absolute zero lack of pressure all year. It's not inspiring me. It used to be played well against us, now maybe coached well against us?
Let's just hope it works out, noting announced and plenty of water to go under the bridge still.
We really need to get back into finals next year and start repairing our reputation.

I was very disheartened with the latter three. Our recent development evident through the reserves has been good. Makes one think of a catalyst causing the eye for new opportunity.Hamill was a mutual departure, Lonergan, Ebert and Power left for new opportunities. They weren’t sacked
At this point I don’t see how any elite assistant coach would want to come to Carlton and learn under Voss. I assume we will just have a group of mediocre assistants until we secure a new head coach who might attract some talent.

No current season stats available
I always figured Leigh Adams was more of a budget coaching option for the Roos so they could cover Clarko’s massive salary.
If he does come across, I’m hoping it means we’ve invested heavily in some top-tier senior assistants … which I thought was the whole idea behind keeping Voss on for next year.
As soon as it was announced that we’re keeping Voss, I called out how difficult it was going to be to bring in quality assistants. I just don’t see any benefit for them when our head coaches situation is unstable at best.
Hope I’m wrong and eating crow shortly…
Why are you here? Trade period hasn’t even started yet, and you’re writing the whole club offI gotta say. GW hasn’t started with any wins yet.
Couldnt convince players to stay (whether we wanted them or not). Has another playing wanting out despite him having a chat.
Can’t get any decent senior coaches (yet) anyway. We need a senior assistant.
I dont see him as a white night like you all do. He has been around for 12 months now.
We are not going very well.

Gosh Fev,I gotta say. GW hasn’t started with any wins yet.

What part of Voss’s prehistoric gsme plan is there to learn.? See ball and bomb it long.At this point I don’t see how any elite assistant coach would want to come to Carlton and learn under Voss. He got the highly regarded and sought after Chris Davies as our new GM and by all reports he’s already having an impact at the club.I gotta say. GW hasn’t started with any wins yet.

Need to give him a chance first. Let the dust settle before passing judgementI gotta say. GW hasn’t started with any wins yet.

It’s a good call.
I originally saw it the other way; I figured more senior assistants would throw their hat in the ring, thinking they might sniff an opportunity to step up if things turned sour.
But looking back, you’re probably right. No one wants to be tied to the current coaching group if it all implodes.
It’s a win/win.What if it doesn't implode? What's the next step in the scenario that we make the 8 and Crazy Vossy wins a final? I mean stranger things have happened in the AFL. Im certainly not death riding the team going into 2026 like some are.
I believe it's actually better than that, but we don't have the players to make it work to our advantage yet. What part of Voss’s prehistoric gsme plan is there to learn.? See ball and bomb it long.
Good Assistants would priorities clubs like hawks lions cats and filth.
Hopefully things change at some stage because without good coaches/assistants we will continue being the new ninethmond tiggies.
I've maintained that every time we've had our class on the outside fit and available we've been absolutely fine in terms of game plan. As soon as you take out a few of them though we revert to bomb down the line crap.I believe it's actually better than that, but we don't have the players to make it work to our advantage yet.
Considering that our Top players have been out most of the year, and we have barely any disposal, and the fact that 90% of the comp have adopted the same 'Run & Gun' style, I think it's a point of difference.
I Like that we pressure the ball carrier and we don't just abandon them and run forward trying to beat OPs to the next contest.
Constant & relentless Pressure forces turnovers and no team is immune from it.
Conversely, we've had a few years learning how to absorb it (though we deviated slightly from it this year).
I think if we can get some elite ball users into Mid/HF, another small forward, and 1 more KPD, we are back in the hunt.
I don't think our game plan has ever been the issue, just the lack of players to carry it out.
