Is there an early 20s midfielder with elite traits of speed, skills and power that hasn't quite hit his straps but shown glimpses of brilliance that we could throw money at to pry out of their team?

Do we still have the Oliver backup plan or has that ship sailed?

Joel Freijah?

He’s a midget but Jake Rogers is one I would be looking at.
I'm very wary of small players for the midfield. Yes yes I know, Rowell, Neale, Butters, etc etc.

It's possible for a small player to make it, as long as they have other elite traits that make up for it.

But they do have to work harder to compete as the average size of midfielders are increasing. Like they say in basketball, late in games, guys dont get any shorter (or smaller).

I think it would be easier if they were bigger and Rogers is another level of small, he's closer to 170 isn't he?

He’s very small but reasonably well built and has the quick feet a player of his size needs.

Also a very clever decision maker.

He will find it hard to make it in their midfield even with Flanders leaving.
