According to the media, everyone is underpaid at Collingwood and it's insulting, but at Geelong they do under pay everyone and its brilliant.....Darcy Cameron was another, if you can believe the media.

That was unadulterated brilliance.Exactly. Hes lethal up on the wings pushing back forward. Always think of that Carlton run where he burnt off 2 opponents and then sold candy to another and hit Checkers lace out. Was elite
And yet the media clowns say we have a tight salary cap.According to the media, everyone is underpaid at Collingwood and it's insulting, but at Geelong they do under pay everyone and its brilliant.....![]()

Fair comment. Perhaps a bit understated, but close enough.one of the greatest moments in the history of the world.

Yep agree with youHopefully he gets there, he’s wasted in a low possession forward pocket role imo.
but it gets the clicks, it gets the readers... revenueBut, but, but our exploding salary cap
How can it be so tight, if we're underpaying everyone?
They seriously apply no critical thinking before tweeting & speaking.
And Jamie said to the scum, remember this.......
Starting sub in 5 out of 23 games. Gotta put it into context.I can't think of a more disappointing top 5 pick in recent memory. He has not fired a shot. Has played 20 odd games in 2 years as a midfielder/ HF and averages 4 kicks per game, 2.7 HB and .5 tackles. Has struggled to get his own ball
Regardless of all this click business being used as an excuse. It's becoming a bit tiresome.but it gets the clicks, it gets the readers... revenue
id be more critical of the 'readers', as the prior achieve their objectives (cash/employment/relevance)
Pies are a big fan base... and hated by most
It would be interesting to know if we had got Rowell could we have afforded to keep Cameron, Billy etc. But, but, but our exploding salary cap

Only feels right to post this too.
Happy that we never had to find out. Billy & Cameron are glue guys.It would be interesting to know if we had got Rowell could we have afforded to keep Cameron, Billy etc.
not an excuse... its the reason.Regardless of all this click business being used as an excuse. It's becoming a bit tiresome.
Journo's still do have a responsibility to have some facts & accuracy in their reporting. And when they get it wrong, they should be called out for it.
Currently the father is the best in the family.I can't think of a more disappointing top 5 pick in recent memory. He has not fired a shot. Has played 20 odd games in 2 years as a midfielder/ HF and averages 4 kicks per game, 2.7 HB and .5 tackles. Has struggled to get his own ball
Imagine if May lines up next to Maynard on Kings Birthday. How much will Dees fans melt? Can’t wait if it happens.
In the 17 games he wasn't subbed on/off he averaged 4.8 kicks with 71% game time. In the 6 games he was subbed on/ off he averaged 2.6 kicks with 37% game time.Starting sub in 5 out of 23 games. Gotta put it into context.
Agree with everything you’ve said.Re Checkers, I'm not too concerned now that we have retained Elliott and seemingly Hill too.
Checkers has been a magnificent warrior for us, usually drawing the opposition's best defender and still delivering the goods more often than not. But his body is now very banged-up and if its true that the Dees have really offered him a three year deal then he'd be mad to not take it (and I'm glad we seem to be resisting the urge to match).
I'll miss Brody but, realistically, at least one of this year's MMM trio were going to have to be phased out in 2026 for the development of West and Buller. It looks like the Dees may have helped make that decision for us.
Good on Bobby for shutting these clowns upThey just spoke about Pies on Footy Furnace. Nothing particularly new.
There's a trigger for a third year on Elliott's deal, Mihocek is most likely gone, Morris thinks Hill will stay, we're interested in poaching Giansiracusa.
