For those wondering who TMH is, that is Harry Van Hattum who is currently seen as the likely first available pick after Cochrane and Walker bids.

His movement and skill level are excellent for a guy his size, and when he gets to leap and stretch into a marking attempt there are very few that can out reach him. He's going to enter 2026 as one of the elite forward/ruck prospects in the pool.

TEAM BOAK​

Tanner Armstrong

25 disposals, 12 contested possessions, 2 marks, 7 clearances, 5 tackles

A Richmond NGA prospect from the Murray Bushrangers, Armstrong finished as the equal-leading disposal winner on the ground and had the equal-most clearances. He played mostly onball and cracked in hard to win his own footy, while also providing some run and applying good pressure.

Marlon Neocleous

23 disposals, 5 marks, 7 inside 50s, 4 tackles, 3 goals

An exciting player from the Gippsland Power, Neocleous was prominent throughout the contest. Featuring mostly across half-forward, he covered the ground well, handled the ball cleanly and made good decisions with footy in hand. Two of his goals came in the final quarter, one an amazing drop punt from the boundary line in the right forward pocket, after which Neocleous blew a kiss to the crowd to celebrate.

Archie Hill

20 disposals, 5 marks, 6 rebound 50s, 2 tackles

Another product of the Gold Coast Suns Academy, Hill was used mostly off half-back, where he was able to provide some run and bounce and break the lines. He penetrated the game with his kicking and also had some rotations through the midfield, spreading well from contest and finding the footy on the outside to drive the ball forward for his side.

Garrison Kenh

19 disposals, 4 marks, 3 rebound 50s, 2 inside-50s

A West Coast NGA prospect, the East Perth defender featured in a familiar position as an attacking half-back. He showed he can intercept the footy, has great agility and burst speed, a nice sidestep and can hit daring kicks through the corridor with his neat left foot.

Noah Williams

17 disposals, 3 marks, 7 inside-50s, 3 tackles

A Geelong Falcons midfielder, Williams won the best on ground medal for Team Boak after impressing on a wing. His first half was particularly strong as he racked up 11 disposals and five inside-50s to the main break, showing good leg speed and using the ball well going forward.

Lucas Robinson

19 disposals, 10 contested possessions, 3 marks, 7 clearances, 5 tackles

A tough inside player from South Fremantle, Robinson’s clean hands in congestion were important. He played with a hard edge, getting the ball from inside to outside at clearance and applying some good tackling pressure on opponents when he didn’t have the footy himself.

Cooper Hodge

16 disposals, 4 marks, 3 tackles, 1 goal

A prospect with a decision still to make before next year’s draft, Hodge has the option to nominate as an Academy member for the Brisbane Lions or a father-son for Hawthorn. Hodge started onball and cracked in hard. He showed clean hands, worked hard around the ground, provided some good pressure at times and snapped a nice goal after taking a mark in the forward pocket in the third quarter.

Dougie Cochrane

7 disposals, 4 marks, 1 goal

A No.1 draft pick fancy for next year, the Central District tall started forward and showed some exciting signs. He presented strongly, attacked the contest in the air and showed some nice groundball work inside 50. Cochrane kicked one goal from the forward pocket in the second quarter, but also had three goal assists in the first half before being moved to defence in the second half.

Will Malady

10 disposals, 8 marks, 2 inside-50s, 2 tackles, 5 goals

An exciting marking forward from the Gippsland Power, Malady was one of the standout performers on the ground with a game-high five-goal haul. His overhead marking is a clear strength and he put that on show throughout the match, including juggling a contested mark in the final minute. Malady reads the flight of the footy well in the air and has the athleticism to get to it, while he is usually highly accurate in front of the big sticks. He kicked a lovely set shot from the boundary line in the second quarter and booted two important majors in the last term to help his side get over the line.

TEAM DOCHERTY​

Cody Walker

25 disposals, 14 contested possessions, 4 marks, 7 clearances, 6 inside-50s

A father-son prospect for Carlton next year, Walker was brilliant – and not for the first time this year. He won the best on ground medal for Team Docherty after finishing with the equal-most disposals and equal-most clearances of any player on the ground. Playing onball in the first half, Walker’s contest and clearance work was sublime as he extracted the footy and burst away from congestion at speed and used the ball beautifully. He had 16 disposals to halftime before going forward in the second half.

Heath Mellody

19 disposals, 8 marks, 2 inside-50s, 2 rebound-50s

He has played as a half-back for Claremont this year in the WAFL Colts, but Mellody played on a wing in this match. He was the equal-second highest ball winner for Team Docherty, running hard both sides of the ball and showing some good agility.

Jack Gordon

19 disposals, 3 marks, 5 inside 50s, 3 rebound-50s, 3 tackles

A defender from Central District, Gordon was a solid contributor as he finished as Team Docherty’s equal-second highest ball winner. He worked hard to find space and used the ball well when he did win it.

Caylen Murray

16 disposals, 7 marks, 2 rebound 50s, 5 tackles

A member of the Brisbane Lions Academy, Murray started at half-back and started the match on fire. He had nine disposals in the first quarter, taking an early intercept mark, using the ball well and showing some good defensive actions. Murray provided some drive going forward and had a goal assist pushing up the ground, while he also had some time through the midfield in the second half.

Gabriel Patterson

10 disposals, 4 marks, 2 tackles, 2 goals

A lively forward out of Glenelg, the nimble Patterson was an ever-present threat in the forward half. He crumbed the ball of a pack, completed a nice sidestep and kicked a goal in the second quarter. Patterson converted a second goal from a set shot in the final term, and logged a goal assist in the third quarter. But he missed a couple of other opportunities, including dropping an easy uncontested mark directly in front in the third term.

, this West Perth product is also a forward who can be dangerous inside 50. He showed some good signs, taking a couple of strong marks on the lead and selling some candy to get around would-be defenders. However, he wasn’t able to kick a major from a few opportunities.

Jack Pickett

6 disposals, 3 marks, 3 hitouts, 2 goals

A powerful forward from the Geelong Falcons, Pickett missed a couple of opportunities in the first half which he would have normally gobbled up, but he had some moments in the second half. He read the flight of the ball well to take a nice mark and kick a goal from 25m directly in front in the third quarter and took a contested mark and slotted a goal from 40m in the final term.

Harry Van Hattum

7 disposals, 3 marks, 11 hitouts, 1 clearance, 1 goal

A giant young ruckman from the Northern Knights, Van Hattum measured in at 204cm at the start of this year. He spent time rotating between forward and ruck roles, kicking one goal over the back in the second quarter and showing good follow-up work when in the ruck. A fierce competitor, he ripped the footy out of a pack of players at one centre bounce in the third quarter and provided some good tackling pressure when the opposition had the ball.

Aidan McCarthy

6 disposals, 2 marks, 2 goals

A member of the Sydney Swans Academy, McCartney is also a father-son prospect for North Melbourne as the son of former forward Jason. Like his dad, Aidan is a strong forward who can hit the scoreboard. He had limited opportunities in this match but led well and kicked two goals in the second half, including one snap from a tight angle.

It didn't quite come together for Dougie in the Futures game. He didn't get any midfield time, played exclusively forward in the first half. On a number of occasions he created space on the lead but the hit up kick was short or over his head. When things aren't going your way you have to find ways to impact and he did do that with three direct goal assists and a major of his own. In the second half he was moved to play key defender, a role he hasn't played all year, and he struggled to have an impact. The future couldn't be brighter for Dougie but this is a game he'll move on from quickly.

He combines athleticism with excellent ball skills and some real x-factor around the forward line. He's already proven this year that he can kick bags of goals playing almost exclusively forward for the Dragons, with more midfield minutes likely to be on the cards next season.

Both would be good imo. The 2 of them and Hotton plus Alger with a little 1 on 1 development with Breust would be a nightmare.
