Clarry at his best was outstanding, but he was awful in the back half of the year. Could still get the ball, but was so bad with it that you would have preferred him not getting it.I don't know the bloke at all but suspect this is more in jest than a reflection of his character.
Played more than OK footy in the back half of 2025 and has been in the top handful of midfielders at his peak.
Still only 28 years old.
Never been a huge follower of Clayton but at the rumoured 50% discount, all I'm saying is we can make (and have made) far worse list decisions than to get him in.
On a positive note with long and Oliver kicking inside 50 would make it hard to defend as where it goes is anyone’s guessClarry at his best was outstanding, but he was awful in the back half of the year. Could suit if we do go with inexperienced talls next year. Our blokes will probably be in the wrong place, so blokes who kick it to the wrong place will be invaluable. On a positive note with long and Oliver kicking inside 50 would make it hard to defend as where it goes is anyone’s guess
I'd say in Melbourne's case they have shown their hand and can't afford to ask much at all if anythingThe Melbourne environment hasn't exactly been the best in recent years. So maybe he needs a change in environment to rediscover some of his form.
The only question is what trade compensation are Melbourne seeking?
Is it a case of, the greater the trade offer the lower the new clubs financial commitment will be?
And he hasn't helped with that environment tbf with all his issuesThe Melbourne environment hasn't exactly been the best in recent years. So maybe he needs a change in environment to rediscover some of his form.

And 0 brownlow votes from it.Oliver still averaged around - 26 touches, 5 tackles, 6 clearances and 12 contested possessions a game.
So paying a player somewhere between 650-700K for that sort of production is not the worst idea in the world.

Come on, surely you must realise that quality trades are directly linked to the number of media mentions a club gets. This has to be a piss take?
Didn't he get more than a few votes in previous years when Melbourne were winning a lot?And 0 brownlow votes from it.
So makes you wonder that maybe he wasn't hurting with his touches.
We are gonna lose our status as a destination club if players don’t hear us making moves on Trade Radio.Didn't realise Leppa delegated his job to the mediathat must be why we aren't getting anyone other than DH

Think we off all people should know that the brownlow medal is not a true indicator of a players effectiveness. And 0 brownlow votes from it.

Sorry Jen, but after this year's debacle, I don't place any credence on Brownlow votes. And 0 brownlow votes from it.

Just tell them to kick it to the hotspot and they’ll start hitting blokes lace out in all sorts of undefendable spots. On a positive note with long and Oliver kicking inside 50 would make it hard to defend as where it goes is anyone’s guess
Just not in the last 2 years. When he was at his best, 100%, but thats not something we have seen for a while.Didn't he get more than a few votes in previous years when Melbourne were winning a lot?
Hard to attract votes when your team loses more than it wins.
Just looked into it. 195 career votes. 23 games with 3 votes. 59 games in which he polled so far in his career. Definitely no dud
