Wasn’t Danger an RFA when he crossed to Cats? Crows and Cats brokered a better deal than compo pick I think .Yeah I do understand it.
If a RFA who wants to leave, a matched offer from their original club creates an extra step in the process, requiring further negotiation for a trade or a move into the draft to finalize the change of clubs.
You don't think there will be clubs trying to get Butters in 2027?
Why shouldn't we be one of them?

I would have no issues with the club selling their 26 and 27 first round picks for a stake in the 2025 draft. The first round of 2027 is all Tasmanian, it's been compromised. Mids the obvious agenda.
Yep. I'm sure there are plenty of examples.Wasn’t Danger an RFA when he crossed to Cats? Crows and Cats brokered a better deal than compo pick I think .
2025 draft isn't great if reports are true. Should be loading up on 26. Should also only be trading away 26 if used to land a gun like butters. Agree 2027 will be all about tassieI would have no issues with the club selling their 26 and 27 first round picks for a stake in the 2025 draft. When a player is a FA/or OOC, these deals get done one way or another. Even if its less than what they would prefer. So even if they force a trade, they would have to accept what you have. Or he goes into the draft, where he goes anywhere and someone gets him for nothing.
If he wants to come home, he's given 8 years of service, I think port would be reasonable. You couldn't have asked for much more than what he has given that club. You can also trade 2 years in advance.
Yes, after the trade period.Since Jacob Blight is a dfa does that mean we can just practically add him to the list if we want him?
2027 we have some FS/NGA players. But they should come fairly cheap.2025 draft isn't great if reports are true. Should be loading up on 26. Should also only be trading away 26 if used to land a gun like butters. Agree 2027 will be all about tassie
No one thinks he would cheap. He shouldn't be.I know you know your stuff, but this is like talking to kids.
The point is, Butters won't just come cheaply, he will come for x2 first rounders, at least. He is a trade target, not a free agent target. Losing x2 first round picks like we have done so often lately may happen again, it may, but we aren't getting him for cheap.
As opposed to Oliver who is being actively shopped by his club and they are gonna pay some of his salary. We'd be getting him super cheap in terms of resources.
My concern is that his position is one we need to fill otherwise we're relying on Reef only. I'd rather lock him up sooner at the risk of another club getting him.I would prefer us wait on Jacob Blight and let him be a pre season SSP train on player, I don't trust his shoulders.
Might not have a Choice IF other teams are InterestedI would prefer us wait on Jacob Blight and let him be a pre season SSP train on player, I don't trust his shoulders.
No.Could we do a Trade during Trade Period for him like just trading a Useless Pick?
