Interesting if true.. hawks have had 2 & 4yr deals on the table for him since mid year.. don't think we'd be lowballing him on the cash Collingwood style and i've got it on good authority he wanted to stay if the price was rightGettable saying 4 year deal to the Cats, expected to be announced after Hawks bnf on Saturday.

What compo do you think you will get?Goodbye Worps. Confirmed he's heading down the highway.
A couple of games shy of 150 at the Hawks. B&F winner. Can't ask for much more from pick #45.
What compo do you think you will get?
True plus Geelong never really pay big dollars when it comes to FAs surely second round would be likely his a good player who takes Worps role now?Not sure. Unlikely band 1. Most likely band 2-3 depending on the secret herbs and spices.

Worps more that in and under player Merrett will be good but he wont be that in and under surely Ward or Nash take that role?Hopefully Merrett or a fit Day. Balances our midfield a bit more. Too much grunt with Nash/Newcombe/Worpel. Need some speed/class.
Ward will likely get more inside midfield minutes. Had a bit of a breakout season but hopefully he can take the next steps.

Fair call hopefully Day gets a clean run at it as wellWell that's my point we already have three guys who play a similar role to Worpel, so it won't be a like for like replacement.
See ball get ball - Nash has a bit more versatility as he can play as a defensive stopper.
We'll have a more balanced midfield outfit in 2026.
Butler and Newcombe are suited for that role. Nash does it as well .Worps more that in and under player Merrett will be good but he wont be that in and under surely Ward or Nash take that role?

Rotate through Half forward?Hope so but there's some whispers on the Hawks board his full time mid days might be over (at least for the time being). Maybe we'll play him as a Burgoyne 'break glass in emergency' type to try and keep him healthy through the year.
Rotate through Half forward?
Makes things happen when his forward of center good to watch tbhOr half back. Started his career in defense.
I'd prefer him forward of centre though.

Agreed tbh also hope Mitch Lewis gets a clean run easily my favorite player at the HawksReally following the James Hird career path.
Just need to keep him away from fitness coaches named after objects.
Suggesting about pick 35 ?Band 2, maybe 3.
