You pose probably one of the more realistic scenarios to be honest, and it makes me sad, as much as I'd love to see Humphrey out there alongside Beau. The club have been really eager on Humphrey for a long time now so I'm curious to see how they approach this (if at all)

Disappointed we didn't have a red hot crack at Worpell. Glad we've apparently gone cold on May but I reckon Oliver is worth the risk.
He's a four-time B&F winner and three-time AA rep. A great ball-winner, tackle-breaker and ball distributor by hand. Having Clarry feed The Daicai, DeGoey and McCreery could be pretty exciting. He just needs to keep the handball-to-kick ratio at 2:1 or 3:1, not 1:1 or less.
Given we have no useful picks to trade, I imagine that we'd have to agree to take on most of his salary.

I'm confused. Isn't that someone just saying a VFL player (ex AFL) is joining a club which wears black & white in the Southern League?
Yeah and still a possibility that over the Summer Starcevich might be medically retired like Murphy or almost 100% if he gets concussed again at any stage next year or whenever that may happen.
I imagine that the Dees would either want a first round pick for Oliver, or the acquiring team to take on most/all of his contracted wage. I doubt we can get him for a 2nd or 3rd rounder AND expect the Dees to subsidise his wages. Its one or the other, surely?

I’m a yes to Oliver if the club feel he can evolve his work in the contest from a ball hunter to more defensively minded. The guys been loose for most of his career and it has never impacted him until he got that hamstring last year. You’re talking all of those accolades and at one point he was on track to be the greatest ever Dee that doesn’t happen by accident despite being an absolute muppet.
The handling by the Demons means they’ve effectively pissed any chance of getting something decent in return up the wall. Or they’ll never get a player from Oliver’s managers stable again! In a better environment than the one that was completely devoid of leadership the past two years he’ll turn it around. The only issue I have is with a fit JDG we get a bit too offensive minded with Oliver in the mix so he’d need to be prepared to change how he plays.

As a straight swap you’d have to entertain it. Humphrey’s ceiling is De Goey-esque (still only 21 and inconsistent), but I dunno… I am anticipating a career year for Bobby

Seems a bit counterproductive. The AFL help Eagles out & they're using one of those picks to bring a player in who could be one head knock away from retirement
I reckon we YOLO and get JUH and Oliver. If it works out we will be genius .
