Posters are responsible for what they post. Moderators can not attest to the accuracy or otherwise of any rumour posted.

Moderators will intervene for a couple of reasons.

1. If a thread is threatening to be derailed because of a post.

None of this draws a conclusion as to the accuracy or otherwise of the original post.

There is no need to further speculate. What will be will be.

Also, you need to remember that this thread like all parts of this forum is bound by the rules of poster conduct. If you want to express skepticism towards a rumour that's fine, but having a crack at posters who are contributors to this forum is simply not on and will be acted upon.

Isn’t our interest in Humphrey tied to Charlie Curnow? I doubt another club can offer up a player of the same calibre as Charlie.

How about Petracca?

Yes but if for example Trac went to GC, it might be that Charlie goes to Sydney and Humphrey to us.

Why wouldn't Humphrey go to Melbourne if Petracca goes to GC seems like an easy straight swap to me.

Might suit the clubs but it's not Humphrey's concern to make the trade easier.
If he's happy with what Melbourne offer him then yes it makes sense.

It's been reported we are out of the Flanders race. Saints/Dees/* still chasing him.

Reckon you’re selling the ‘vision’ of the club when recruiting someone like Humphrey - we’re probably all offering similar coin.

The Dees are in for a tough few years, especially once Gawn retires.

We might be too with our departures and Cripps’ eventual decline, but there’s enough hope with a relatively young midfield brigade and a bit of opportunity to gel with Moir, Hollands and Kemp as a bit of dynamic forward quartet.

And this is a bit of personal opinion based on nothing - I reckon Hardwick and his messaging will wear thin very quickly with the Suns’ playing group. Their culture isn’t held together by the quality of Cotchin, Houli, etc.

Just got a feeling gold coast are going to have a massive play at curnow and petraca, getting them would push Humphrey and Walter out, could also be the reason they are checking out jamara because they know carlton will ask for Walter

Humphrey was that bloody good at times this year the gap between him and petracca could be almost nothing with another pre season.

Could see the suns wanted to have a 70/30 fwd mid split for petracca and a 30/70 split for Humphrey.

They’d be mad to let him go IMO

I'll hold out on Humphrey hope until there's actual reports that he's looking, not just being chased.

I'm not surprised he's being chased at all, in fact it's expected, but I've been strong on my opinion that he's rock steadily staying.

If I'm wrong, I 100000% want Carlton to be involved and get that boy down here - I just don't see it happening right now.

If you’re the Suns and looking to win a flag in the next 3 years, I would definitely want Curnow and Petracca instead of Walter and Humphrey.

There’s obviously salary cap implications, picks and their academy talents, but IF they have the opportunity to get both they should do it (purely from a neutrals perspective).
