Melbourne would be over the moon with Petracca choosing the Suns. I can't imagine they would be too difficult to deal with and have a need to move pick 6. They'll be happy to get this one done early given the magnitude of it. The midfield is absolutely bonkers with Anderson, Rowell & Miller with Petracca & Humphrey splitting time between midfield and forward.

I could see the deal being pick 6 + Flanders or something similar.

Heard Clarko speak during the 2016 trade period when they were trying to trade for O’Meara and Tom Mitchell at the same time.

He said the deal with Sydney was done in minutes and Gold Coast in contrast were all over the place and an absolute nightmare to deal with, but that was quite a while ago and the problem seemed to be largely centered around Cochrane who left in 2023.

The fact we’ve never had to deal with them in a trade keeps them back of mind. I just hope they’re reasonable given we have two potential trades with them this year.

Nah he’s elite. Would be so dangerous in our forward line. Sounds like Pies, Blues and Dees are the ones hunting him though.

I’d have him taking Garcia’s role with more CBAs

Definitely not the most pressing need and with a potential Butters deal next year probably not worth offering future picks.

But you’d have to have a look if he’s any chance of leaving.

May not be the biggest need but he's basically a young Zac Bailey
If he wanted to come here you get it done no matter the cost in picks

If I'm him though, I'm absolutely waiting at least a year. The legit shot at a flag is worth holding off askig for a trade

Humphrey is great so hopefully we've at least asked the question. He is pretty damn good as a forward and can play up there while waiting for Treloar and Libba to finish up. I think he'd push Sanders out of the team and could impact our ability to chase Butters next year.

Allows them to deploy Miller in more of hit old school shutdown role if need be. Touk was so good last year, would have won their B&F had he not missed those games due a hammy back end of the year.

If we traded in Humphrey we'd have no trade capital left for Butters.
