Posters are responsible for what they post. Moderators can not attest to the accuracy or otherwise of any rumour posted.

Moderators will intervene for a couple of reasons.

1. If a thread is threatening to be derailed because of a post.

2. If invested parties request the removal of material.

None of this draws a conclusion as to the accuracy or otherwise of the original post.

There is no need to further speculate. What will be will be.

Also, you need to remember that this thread like all parts of this forum is bound by the rules of poster conduct. If you want to express skepticism towards a rumour that's fine, but having a crack at posters who are contributors to this forum is simply not on and will be acted upon.

In my opinion the Blues will get one of either Walter or Humphrey should Charlie be moved on.
The club wont let TDK,JSos and Charlie go,3 really big cards and try to sell the dream without an elite player coming to the club. Too costly.

Could very well be and I’m sure they’d like to keep Humphrey and get both Curnow and Petracca. But these types of opportunities to bring in 2 stars (if actually possible) don’t come along very often and coincide with being in a clubs premiership window.

Hopefully for us they think along these lines..

I'm more of the point that Humphrey will be one of those stars in as little as 12 months. Trading him out for Petracca may only be a net neutral move by the end of 2026.

The only plausible scenario is that GC are desperate for draft capital for petracca and their academy picks and Humphrey prefers CFC

I haven’t done the sums, but despite the massive draft hand they have, the Suns likely don’t have enough draft capital for Uwland and Patterson who are both possible top 5 picks along with four other potential academy picks.

They need draft capital to get Petracca in, so it will be eroded. Something coming for Flanders may partly offset this, but likely they need more.

We can do Humphrey without Curnow being involved directly, but it will be interesting. If CC goes to Sydney, a first from this year and next would be involved. The FF would be untouchable, but we could combine CC compo with Sydney first to pay for BH. Definitely doable.

Asked someone I trust about Humphrey (they are quite senior at another Melbourne-based club). In their words:

“You won’t get Humphrey. I’m willing to bet you an exorbitant amount of money.”

When I pressed them, they said:

“All I’m saying is he won’t go to Carlton. Make of that what you will”

St Kilda's list manager is rumoured to often provide views such as this owing to various issues outside their emotional control.... Is currently working through it however with a highly regarded child psychologist.

Why would GC want Jamara instead of Curnow. I get it from an age perspective, but after all he did this year. It must have been bad for the bulldogs not to play him. Him playing would have got them playing finals.

Hope Petracca picks Adelaide and GC go cold on Jamara so they get back on the Curnow train.

JUH could just be a negotiation tactic.

Could also be a mostly performance-based contract loaded with milestones and triggers, which would b e better than the SFA anyone else would be willing to offer him. Low risk vs big reward if he cleans himself up.
