All I am saying is we better get some players in and not be relying on internal growth because we aren't going up the ladder with that when teams like GC get Petracca, JUH, Rowbottom etc. Yes I know Buderick nominated the dogs.
BontHe'd get games at the dogs, who also chased Erasmus for a reason
Libba and Treloar are going to miss plenty of football. Can't be relying on them anymore.Bont
Richards
Libba
Kennedy
Freijah
Treloar
Sanders
Hynes
Vs
Graham
Reid
Kelly
Hough
Hewett
Chesser
Yeo
Far harder to get opportunities in our midfield than WC. The move makes complete sense for him.

Is will Hayward a spud? He wants to go to bottomless salary cap Carltank?
Why Libba? Treloar likely but could say the same of Yeo.Libba and Treloar are going to miss plenty of football. Can't be relying on them anymore.

Can't keep mentioning it enoughHe will have plenty of rest weeks.
Sanders is being chased by Tasmania.
Need depth more than people realise.
Can’t just assume that he will. He’s super durable and only missed a handful of games over the last 5 years. Had opportunities to rest him this year but didn’t.He will have plenty of rest weeks.

Zero class, the bloke toiled away in a team of scrubs for years and then is thrown on the scrapheap. Looks terrible.Such a classy club the Saints.![]()
Have you seen our reserves? If no, read Foxman's postCan’t just assume that he will. He’s super durable and only missed a handful of games over the last 5 years. Had opportunities to rest him this year but didn’t.
Tassie is still years away so no need to address something that’s not even an issue yet.
Need midfielders more than people want to believeCan't keep mentioning it enough
Our midfield most weeks in the 2s was Scott Crofts CCP
Hynes ran through there a little but hasn't got the tank yet for full time VFL let alone AFL

Injuries obviously made it look worse i.e no Treloar or Garcia (don't think he is good enough anyway) for most of the year but realistically under 25 we are fairly thin on mids and in a way were lucky Freijah has come on how he has as a midNeed midfielders more than people want to believe
Yes neither of them were the Captain at the timeIs this different to the Macrae/Parker moves of last year?

Why does everyone keep trotting out Butters? That's far from a givenTo quote Michael Regan, the question to ask when looking at recruiting players from other clubs is "are they going to make us better"
Deven Robertson is not going to make us better, so chill.
Budarick will because he is a Duryea replacement and we have no one else quite like him.
Wilkie would have made us better, Zak Butters definitely will.
So, stop losing our $hit over missing out on players who are not going to make us better.
The VFL team won a grand final so there is enormous natural growth from within from the likes of Dolan, Hynes, Jones, Jacques, Smith etc.
Is this different to the Macrae/Parker moves of last year?

Maybe. Even if so, the longer it takes and when it goes into next year, every club and their dog will be throwing the moneyBecause he wants us and 2nd preference geelong
I don’t disagree that our midfield is aging and needs replenishing. The club has clearly identified it as an area of concern by drafting Sanders and Hynes in recent years, and even making an offer to Robertson shows we’re conscious of addressing the need for depth. But we can’t fix everything at once, and right now the priority is defence which is a more pressing issue. Other opportunities will present, and we still have enough depth through the middle for next season.Have you seen our reserves? If no, read Foxman's post

My original point still stands - if you’re offered more money, midfield minutes, and the chance to play in your home state, it’s a no-brainer. That shouldn’t reflect poorly on the club’s ability to attract talent
