Where did these stats come from? Would be good to see the update.

Honestly, I have t seen anything from this guy that makes me think he has the potential to be an AFL player.

I keep hoping I’m wrong, but there is nothing special about him. He gets the ball but constantly makes the wrong decision in the VFL. Not sure how he will cope in the faster paced AFL. But, if he is still on the list, we can’t die wondering. He needs to play a block of 4 games next season.

Unfortunately agree. He looks really nervous and uncomposed at VFL level - hard to imagine that is any better at AFL

Sounds like another bust. Dunno if people remember the hype when he was drafted. Leadership material, had ideas on how to make our premiership side be better, future captain, future cult figure etc. etc. I think I’m being harsh, actually I know I’m being harsh. But sorry, just look at the other boys from the same draft year and what they have already achieved.

Turns out his great strength was his ability to sell himself.

Not harsh. They did hype him up-especially the leadership aspect long before he had proven he was worthy of playing one game.

Erring towards harsh, but I had a look at it and post 25 it looks a decent draft. Ignoring the club aligned players and the one I’ve had up to my back teeth seeing discussed we have the likes of Freijah, Roberts, Mannagh, Fonti and Humphries all looking 150+ gamers. I’m beginning to suspect he’s all sizzle and no steak myself on the basis of early feedback because poor composure at VFL level rarely translates to much at AFL level.

The only issue I have is that he’s getting judged as a 1st rounder which he is in the loosest sense. Once you hit the 20’s on draft night things start to get speculative so whilst we’re edging closer to “bust” territory I’d just chalk this one up as a run of the mill miss if he doesn’t get there.

HDM can easily knock up 150-200 but unfortunately it will most likely be with a bat in hand.

The little of him I've seen so far has left me uncertain.

We don't know what kind of opportunities HDM would have at another club. Collingwood in '25 was a bloody hard team to break into.

Probably harsh to call him a bust at this stage, but he's teetering.

I would like to see some positive signs next year, preferably in the seniors. He's fast, aggressive, and committed; could he be tried elsewhere on the ground, eg defence?

Whatever happens with Oliver will be a good litmus test here and might spell the end for him. If the club has any belief in Harrys ability at the next level then surely they don't chase Oliver, who even at half price is still probably overpaid.
