What was it they said about William? Was it "a complicated history"?Why wasn't he picked up by infrared then? Or why didn't sniffer dogs follow his scent to a nearby wombat hole?

Does that suggest that the police think a photo might help now?Gus’s photo has been released.
August, also known as “Gus”, was last seen playing in sand at his family’s sheep station, about 40km south of Yunta, about 5pm on Saturday.
Possibly. I thought maybe the family are ready/wanted to put a face to him after the victim contact officer talked to them.Does that suggest that the police think a photo might help now?

I’m thinking of the case of Daniel O’Keefe who was found under his parent’s house several years later.Disregard my wombat burrow theory. I've done some research and they don't live anywhere near there. Could a wedge-tail eagle take a child? Unlikely l guess, but we didn't know dingoes could take babies either.
Just trying to think of anything other than some very unpleasant possibilities. It's been too long.
No one has mentioned snakes. There are some very deadly species in those parts that unfortunately could kill a small child very quickly.I’m thinking of the case of Daniel O’Keefe who was found under his parent’s house several years later.
Police couldn’t explain why he wasn’t found years earlier in police searches.
It’s possible Gus hasn’t been found.
As much as I love the sniffer dogs, they’re not always able to pick up a scent due to different reasons.
No matter what’s happened it’s not looking good for this little boy.
But where’s the body then?No one has mentioned snakes. There are some very deadly species in those parts that unfortunately could kill a small child very quickly.
Something is off about this case kids don't just vanish into thin air in that sort of pretty barren landscape.
Maybe a reason if he’s crept in somewhere and hasn’t come out or responded. No one has mentioned snakes. There are some very deadly species in those parts that unfortunately could kill a small child very quickly.
When you are looking for something, you always check the most obvious places first. Then you quickly move on to less and less likely places. Usually, you will find it if you go back to the first places and search more thoroughly there.Maybe a reason if he’s crept in somewhere and hasn’t come out or responded.
Apparently unmarked wells and mines in the area too. When you are looking for something, you always check the most obvious places first. Then you quickly move on to less and less likely places. Usually, you will find it if you go back to the first places and search more thoroughly there.
A typical four-year old weighs between 13-20kg, and a wedge-tailed eagle can lift 50% of its body weight (they weigh up to 4kg).Disregard my wombat burrow theory. I thought about an eagle. Not beyond imo. Hope they find the little one although time is against.Disregard my wombat burrow theory. I've done some research and they don't live anywhere near there. Close to the house within a 4yr olds wander range? Would the family know where those are? If there is a body somewhere wouldn't there be interest from animals by now?Apparently unmarked wells and mines in the area too.
Worrying there’s been no sign of him though.
Hmmm "other lines o inquiry", sounds fishy.South Australia police say they are scaling back the search as they couldn't find anything in the target area. They are continuing with other lines of investigation. So sad and baffling.
I think from what they’ve said no one knows where they all are as they’re unmarked but I don’t know if that was in the radius they were talking about.Close to the house within a 4yr olds wander range? Heaps of outbuildings & stuff around the homestead area. Imo very easy for an exploratory child to come to grieve & not easily be discovered.I’m thinking of the case of Daniel O’Keefe who was found under his parent’s house several years later.
