I'm hearing it'll be Premiership ruckman Rhys Stanley for Marshall + 2 firsts

Saints gonna need to put in more for that, Rhys has the recruitment farm and also will be hosting future Mad Mondays where the media won’t be invited.

His point doesn’t change, Pick 17 getting pushed back doesn’t mean you aren’t getting the available talent taken away from you. Those guys will be matched so they were never available to you.
The guy taken at Pick 25 is still the 17th available best player.

Why would you guys be soo keen on our future first is the real question?

Scott subbed out Stanley before a broken armed Cameron. It was a disaster for the Cats.

We do, players come to Geelong because they want to, not because Geelong get desperate.
Geelong don’t panic trade and rarely if ever overpay.

That’s why you’ll hear it clear from Mackie and clear from the media throughout the process.
This year’s first is the starting point. Twomey has been saying it for weeks now so it’s not just coming from club people.

So at worst it’s 19th best player available. With roughly 4/5 academy and/or father son picks in the first round it puts it at roughly Pick 23/24 which is where we all knew it would be.

Yeah I don’t disagree Geelong recruit well, but I’m not sure what other quality ruckman will be available at the eleventh hour if Geelong don’t get the Marshall deal done . I would find it hard to believe that they would be happy to head into next season with a 34 year old Rhys Stanley as there starting ruck

Would be some risky list management to say the least the chances of Stanley and blics staying on the park all season would be unlikely if they both went down you would be in all sorts I know people say you don’t need quality rucks to win premierships but I actually thought it hurt you quite a bit in this years grand final and I don’t see how one future first is being held to ransom or massive overs ,
