How great is the period between end of our season and end of trade week. This is about as good as it can get, playing finals, not so much.

The great thing about trade week is that those that we target hard that spurn us aren't worthy in the first place. Bang, winner, winner, we're always the winner. And don't forget that there's not a player in the entire league that doesn't want to play under the PLAYER'S WHISPERER, Matthew Nix. We are clearly about to embark upon a multi year premiership contention despite the fact that half our best 23 wouldn't get a game in any of the actual top 4's best 22. BANG, we're back. We're back to exactly where we started. We will hang around 4-10 over many years and never really contend.

I always look forward to trade week. There is always a glimmer of hope that a player of note will come our way.

Its always an event id love to be a fly on the wall of discussions of potential trades. The one lesson I have learnt over time is to not listen to the garbage that is trade radio.

After last weeks similar effort, this is another utterly pointless and attention seeking “look at me” thread that wastes everyone’s time and energy. Isn’t there a better use of your time when you are (so regularly) hammered? Perhaps try Stephen Covey for tips on how to seperate your issues with sense of worth from things that are outside of your control.

To protect your self-worth from external circumstances, according to Stephen Covey, you must focus your energy on your Circle of Influence, which includes your attitude, behaviour, and the way you respond to things within your control. Instead of being a reactive person driven by feelings and blaming external factors, become a proactive individual who takes responsibility, focuses on important values and long-term vision, and accepts that some things are simply outside your control.

Trade week for us is just like a regular season of footy.
Super pumped for it to start and going into it with lots of hope.
Then getting to the end burnt out and feeling like you’ve been taken on an emotional rollercoaster, only to come out the other end a loser.

I didn’t read this post, but I bet you were salivating at all the ‘signs’ that were leading to the near certain acquisition of Petracca ahead of the Suns. Bet you gobbled up UcantCme (the Sloane ranger) bullcrap like it was chocolate.

How’s your guaranteed 30% yearly return investment system going?

Good thread. Would read again.

Or just wait until next time 1970 has a few.

These are the rants that BF is about!
I just hope his bulldog has survived the Friday night antics
Nothing better on a Saturday morning than to wake up to a 1970crow thread
🤣🤣

**** yeah, it's gonna be the 85th self help book I read this year that's gonna fix everything!

I might pick one of Stevo's up!

Petracca wasn’t put off by Burgess leaving, he heard last years recruits only got 24%
