Don’t take him then and show the whole of the AFL world you can’t get deals done. Will go down well.

Also how is he injured? He played every game in 2025 lmao. Thats a shit take.
Deal, I have no emotional investment in Petracca and the AFL world looks at what was offered, if it was 6&7 it would be seen as generous, the non deal comes back onto your mob as a stain

785 + 756 + 653 + 207 = 2401 points

Admittedly they do get a 20% discount on their academy players.

For Uwland and Patterson alone they’ll most likely need up to 4000 points.

Coulsen, Murray, Collins will all be bid on.

This also doesn’t include other outgoing players like Rosas, Davies ect

Also won’t be a shortage if clubs wanting to trade out of this draft into next year.

To put this into perspective Brisbane essentially gave up picks 6 & 19 for a 25yo Lachie Neale.

Anderson clears Petracca by a mile now and hasn’t even hit his peak. Has been a vice captain since year 2 and is currently the youngest captain in the league. This is a completely silly comparison

Geez give me a choice between Mr Anderson and P-Trac and Anderson wins by a country mile.

Wrong old DVI table.
Whatever it is…you’ll need enough points to cover Uwland, Patterson, Collins, Adinsall, Coulsen and Murray. All the while bringing in a contracted Petracca.

I think something is going to fall through here. Whether it’s not getting Petracca…Which I’d be very surprised for it not to happen considering Petracca has publicly come out and nominated Suns, or Bailey Humphrey falling out, one of Patterson or Uwland is not matched to still bring in the other 4, or some of the other 4 bids are not matched.

With Dylan Pattersons most recent comments about not being overly fussed if Gold Coast are unable to bring him in then I’m getting the feeling it might be Patterson as the one who will fall out.

They will get the points easily providing Eagles play along and dont bid

Budarick, Rosas, Ainsworth and Davies will get them points for the later academy kids. Thats if they actually want them all, we have seen some passed on in the past.

Exactly. It’s laughable if Dees fans think Petrecca is valued more than Rowell and Anderson. He's not Gary Ablett Jnr either — and won’t have anywhere near that much impact on the Coast.

We aren’t saying he is valued more but in terms what he can deliver on field next year and the next couple is comparable and that’s what Hardwick and co will be thinking about. They won’t give a shit who’s better in 6 years. They want results now.

And a lot of face and credibility on the line to prove they can bring in contracted marque players.

GC will need to start with a good offer to as Dees will be busy dealing on other trades to even take the zoom call invite if it isn’t enticing.
Gun players usually get their way

I have no doubt a deal will be done.

If Suns lose Humphrey though, will be a net loss, certainly long-term.

The post was looking at his marquee impact off field. No one in Queensland knows or cares about Petrecca. He has no here near the name recognition Ablett did — and the Suns no longer need that type of player either. If I was the Suns I wouldn’t be selling my kidneys (or Humphrey) to get him. He’s a nice to have sure but definitely not a necessity

How do you know they don’t? You have the geographic data of his OnTrac Instagram page following?

Probably for the same reason that when a guy made a video on insta, asking people "how well this guy is going to go in finals" and showing a picture of GAJ from 10 years ago.

and 90% of them said hes going to go well, the majority of them know nothing and do not care about AFL

Rubbish, if anything it’s Melbourne that will lose face if a substantial offer is made for Petracca ( 2x 1st rounders) and you knock it back, after he’s wanted to leave two years in a row. Plus you’ll be throwing Clarry out the door for peanuts how are you going to justify holding onto Petracca.

By the way, no one’s trying to shaft the Demons here, if you look at the neutrals observers of what a fair trade is it’s quite clear

It’s a different vibe up here, I grew up in Melbourne and players get hassled ( or as least they did at the time). People leave you alone up here. I remember GAJ talking about it when we were at one of the BnFs ( general chit chat at the table), he had a body guard in Melbourne, that lasted about half a season up here as he realised we aren’t footy obsessed
