Folks, this is the way things are here.

Posters are responsible for what they post. Moderators can not attest to the accuracy or otherwise of any rumour posted.

Moderators will intervene for a couple of reasons.

1. If a thread is threatening to be derailed because of a post.

2. If invested parties request the removal of material.

None of this draws a conclusion as to the accuracy or otherwise of the original post.

There is no need to further speculate. What will be will be.

Also, you need to remember that this thread like all parts of this forum is bound by the rules of poster conduct. If you want to express skepticism towards a rumour that's fine, but having a crack at posters who are contributors to this forum is simply not on and will be acted upon.

I know people rate him but I just don't see it.

He is an ok player, nothing to get upset about if he stays or leaves.

If someone wants him he will be gone.

He's only 21 and I think has shown plenty of promising signs in two different roles which is quite rare. I don't understand the benefit of trading him at this point of his career especially when he fills a need

I'll give your that, I hate it when we trade players for a packet of chips.

But I think his off field problems are just too much.

I would keep him even though I don't rate him as highly given he's better than some on the list

Well … because he’s 25 going on 26 i guess …

So he would turn 26 in next years finals series. . It's pretty reasonable to expect that you would get 8 years of football (would be 32 in his 8th year) from a guy that would tick every box that would help make us a premiership contender (when you add what we are likely to add). Surely you dare to dream.

Unless he had had good experiences with a coach he was familiar with and trusted a football manager that he knew well and maybe had played a lot of games with an assistant coach (assumes Boak). Remember it turned out that Houston actually wanted to come to us because he liked Voss. We might not pay the most but we could possibly front load a bloody good amount and we could actually have the picks to make it happen.

That’s of course if the said coach is still on the payroll …

Imo Hollands will be the type of wing who peaks in 3-4 years when his body has fully matured. He works so hard both in game and at training that I think he'll have success no matter what happens with his role in the AFL side and to be honest I think he's just a great kid to have around the club for standards and leadership. He also seems to have a knack for stepping up under pressure imo despite limited opportunities in his career thus far.

Wouldn't be trading Ollie for any offer that a club would reasonably table for him. If it was well overs I'd consider it.

He's a FA next year too mate and 3 clubs are already circling...

And if you still think we'll give Walsh a big contract as well, ask yourself why GW would want to free up cap space only to have 2 players take up what we've freed and then some... we'll be back where we were with no money to chase anyone else and lack of depth...

And to add to this it's not like the teams that have been linked to Walsh like Geelong/Hawthorn would be able to drop a cool 2M on a player anyway. Can't see a situation where he leaves because of money.

I could be wrong and I'll stand correctly but I remember Jagga's highlights from his Junior days as being a bit of a plodder as opposed to express. Butters is blistering quick.

Maybe should of traded him once he increased his value after 12 months but always easier in hindsight.

Just hope we haven’t missed a similar opportunity with someone like Motlop…..
